Local officials affirmed that the chief commander of Iranian Quds Force, Major General Qasem Soleimani were seen walking in the Iraqi city of Najaf.

The top commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Special Forces' unit was seen, according to the officials, in Najaf's old city.

Earlier in September, Haidar al-Mulla, leader of the National Coalition said that Soleimani runs an operational room that controls politics inside Baghdad, including pro-Iran Iraqi politicians.

Mulla added that Soleimani lobbying to have an influence on the political blocs forming the next government.

Since 2007, the U.S. Treasury Department has designated Iran's Quds Force as a terrorist financier due to its support for organizations designated as terrorist, including Taliban.

Thanks CSM. Congratulations on your son's commissioning. My son came through OCS about a year ago. Station in DC.
