Trump slams drugmakers, vows to act on price hikes

WASHINGTON, July 9 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday renewed his criticism against drugmakers over medicine prices and vowed action, but gave no other details about his long-touted plan to address price hikes.

Trump had vowed in May that drug companies would soon be slashing prices. During his presidential campaign, he promised lower U.S. drug costs, but prices remain high.

Why can't they raise prices? I'm sure he raises rents... I doubt he wants the government to set his green fees at his resorts... I'm just saying.

Raising prices for cost adjustments is one thing. 

Price gouging is another.

Nope it's called corrupt government... It's called bought and paid for representation... Who do you think pays for these elections? Voters? Nope that ended about 30 years ago when corporations were given the same rights as the individual and allowed to contribute to campaigns directly.... America is no longer "by the people for the people" those days are long gone and no one, not even our president will have the power or backing to change the system.
