Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was confronted by a group of protesters in his home state of Kentucky who told him that they ‘know where he lives.’

The powerful Republican senator was having lunch in Louisville with a state legislator on Saturday when a group of activists approached him and shouted ‘Abolish ICE.’

Footage of the encounter was obtained by the Courier Journal.

‘Where are the children?’ Where are the babies, Mitch?’ a protester yells toward the Senate Majority Leader.

McConnell did not react to the protesters. He is seen in the film walking past them, turning a corner, and getting into a car.

As he gets into the car, someone yells: ‘We know where you live.’

Jonathan Shell, the House Majority Floor Leader in the Kentucky state legislature, had lunch with McConnell at the Louisville restaurant.

He said the comment about ‘knowing where you live’ was ‘a not-so-subtle threat right out of the Maxine Waters playbook’ and ‘very distasteful.’

Waters, the Democratic House representative from Los Angeles, generated controversy when she encouraged supporters angered by the Trump administration’s immigration policies to confront officials.

Her comments were criticized by Republicans as well as Democratic leaders.

McConnell declined to comment.

This is the second time in recent weeks that McConnell (seen right with his wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao) has been confronted by angry protesters over the immigration debate

Protesters held a large rally in Louisville on Saturday denouncing government agencies like Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

This is the second time in recent weeks that McConnell has been confronted by angry protesters over the immigration debate.

Last month, Elaine Chao furiously defended her husband in a shouting match with immigration protesters who confronted them as they left an event at Georgetown University.

The Department of Transportation Secretary and the Senate Majority Leader were approached by students as they made their way to their car outside the Copley Formal Lounge on the university campus in Washington, DC.

'Why are you separating families, huh? Why are you separating families?' one of the group asked the couple as they made their way to their car, referencing migrant parents detained away from their children at the US-Mexico border.

'Why don't you leave my husband alone? Why don't you leave my husband alone?' Chao responded.

One of the protesters also played an audio recording, published by ProPublica, in which children taken from their parents can be heard crying.

As the demonstrators continued to question why McConnell was separating families, Chao shouted: 'He is not!'

Raising her voice, she added: 'You leave him alone! You leave my husband alone!'

Chao and McConnell are seen being whisked away in a black SUV while security guards keep the protesters away from the couple.

'How does he sleep at night?' one of the protesters is heard shouting as the couple's car drives off.

A 32-second clip of the encounter was shared online by a student called Roberto on Twitter on Tuesday has since attracted millions of views.

I have no love for the guy. On the other hand, 90 lb of drugs could belong to anyone on the crew.

If you can't connect the stuff to McConnell then I will wait to pass judgement on him.

By the way, he is not the only politician who has gained wealth while in a government position.

Seize the boat if need be, find out who owns the coke and then give em a trial.

That man doesn't have an ounce of Integrity in his entire Turtle faced body. He's a never Trumper which really means he was never a Republican. I've said it before Democrats are liars they are evil and they have infiltrated the Republican Party with their own people. I mean for real do you actually believe that John McCain is a Republican?

McCain is registered as a Republican....Aren't you as well?  <_<  Just because you make wild accusations to make yourself feel better about your party of choice doesn't make those wild accusations true.

No rhyme or reason with some... We live in a warped universe. Even basic facts are now twisted for agenda... Before the arrival of Trump, most people would have never bashed a man who served his country and was a POW regardless of political affiliation. Now anything thing you've done in the past, good or bad, is forgotten for the sake of politics. Sad days for our nation.

I'm registered as an independent, but only because no one has started the Constitutional Party.

The senator from the great state of Arizona may be a Republican by name but he has more of a Democratic track record when it come to a

lot of issues. As for his military service, I will leave that judgement to his peers and to God.

Got news for you all......Trump...still leans left from time to time......his roots are left leaning......he could have just as easily run on the left....but he knew it was rigged for HRC......

Donald tends to lean in whatever direction keeps him at the top of the daily news cycles....like the SCOTUS justice nomination dog and pony show last night.  What is the point in continually whipping both sides into a frenzy?  If division of United States citizens is his goal....he's certainly on track.  It reminded me of the first time Lebron left Cleveland for Miami....just go man, no need to advertise it.

If you're suggesting that Bernie Sanders is a constitutionalist then you are lying. He is a communist. Just like all the lying lefties.

Wow....calling me a liar again, isn't that nice.  Being the guy who takes everything "literally" as you do.....it seems it wouldn't be that difficult for you to understand that YOU and BERNIE are both registered INDEPENDENTS, just as you admitted your political affiliation earlier in this thread.

I'm  not calling you a liar. I'm merely saying that if you're pointing out that Bernie Sanders is a constitutionalist that is a lie. If your pointing out that he's a registered independent, like me ,then I suppose you would be correct. I don't follow insane socialist Marxist communist enough to know what they're registered as.
