Pitcher
ERBIL — The US Embassy in Baghdad and the American forces protecting the facility are now on alert as concerns over possible violent acts against the embassy increase, a news report claimed. The London-based al-Araby al-Jadeed claimed on Sunday that the increasing tensions between Washington and Tehran have lead to concerns about possible attacks against the US Embassy in Baghdad by Iranian-backed militias, including those operating under the command of Hashd al-Shaabi. The report also claimed that pro-Iran forces in Baghdad have erected banners with anti-US mottos. The newspaper cited an anonymous source from Baghdad as confirming tightened security measures at the US Embassy, and revealing that at least nine Iranian-backed Shi’ite militias are suspect of having a plan against the US interests in the Iraqi capital. The source also claimed that the US forces in Iraq are using drones to monitor movements around the US embassy and other bases in Baghdad. http://www.basnews.com/index.php/en/news/iraq/448550

ChuckFinley
No worries, you know this was coming once the elections went south, massive unrest in Iran, the call by Iran to mobilize their terrorist organization both in Iran and Southern Iraq. 3 2

Pitcher
Bingo Jmartin 1145 and Chuck Iran is doing everything in its power to hold Iraq from succeeding, and Maliki is the one of the main ring leaders. In the last few days Sadr said Iraq is ripe for Civil War. Damn, that would really stink, especially after we have eliminated most of ISIS from Iraq. 1 1

Hey Ricky Iraq with the help of the coalition needs to full on George Patton to the border and just start bustin chops and not stop till Iran, Malarky, Jobooboo, and the rest are sucking the dust. I have a feeling Mad Dog already has a plan drawn up and all he is waiting for is the go ahead from The Don. When are the fools around the world going to realize we have a leadership now that does not and will not back down from anyone, anywhere or anytime. Pitcher
We have too much invested in Iraq to let it go to Iran at this point. No way that happens

If we know about this, and all the above observations are accurate as I believe they are, I smell a multitude of plans in play. One would be an avoidance of such hostilities, preemptively. Another would be a plan, a long game plan, may involve letting them think they are running the show. Suckering them in, engage the enemy and pursuing them out of Iraq and into Iran. Destroying along the way any know/discovered infrastructure Iran and crew has put in place. How far away is Yemen from Iraq again? If they attack us it may be the beginning of the end of Irans influence in the Middle East ... if we are lucky. Just talking off the top of my head here. 1 1
