No need to celebrate this movement. Most of these people are moving towards the open social democrat corner as is displayed in the election in NY. These people that are leaving are not moving towards conservatism or becoming Republican.

You are correct that not all are moving center right, but at least quite a few are questioning the Democratic LEFT. Not everyone will make the journey over night...for some it is a process over time. The point is that people are moving away from the "Intolerant, authoritarian LEFT".

And the plot thickens.......

BREAKING: Founder of #WalkAway Campaign Brandon Straka ABUSED by Leftists at NYC Camera Shop

JULY 6, 2018 9:18 AM

(Gateway Pundit) – The #WalkAway campaign began on Facebook after a handsome, *** hairdresser from New York named Brandon Straka posted a video last month explaining why he was walking away from the Democrat party.

People are leaving the Democrat party in droves because all they have to offer is violence, intolerance, divisiveness and hatred.

Brandon Straka’s videos are so popular that he is beginning to get recognized in public.

On Thursday, Brandon Straka went into a camera shop to purchase some new supplies when he was abused by leftists working there; they recognized him and refused him service.

This type of hatred and discrimination is precisely why Brandon Straka began the #WalkAway campaign in the first place.

Brandon Straka tweeted: I’m shaking right now. I just went into a camera store to buy a camera and a light and mic, etc. and they recognized me from tv. I was refused service because they said it was for “alt right” purposes. That literally just happened.

Straka said he will not let what happened to him today slow him down. “We will prevail.”

What happened to me today will NOT slow me down or deter me in any way. We will prevail.

#WalkAway

The point is that they are moving away from a party, not an ideology. The walkaway movement is to walk away from the democrat party but most have not left their ideology at the door. In fact, most still believe the platforms of the demRat party. For example, they still believe in abortion, free tuition, LGBTQ as a protected class etc. They feel they have been betrayed by the leaders of the dem party and moving more towards Bernie's (Democrat Socialism) beliefs than moving towards the right. So this walkaway would be moving further left. A study showed most millennials believe in socialism because they see how America is failing and they have nothing else to compare to. We are far removed, generation-wise, from the WWII generation as the last few are slowly fading away. The mantra I want better for my child than I had growing up has actually been a hindrance since most younglings never had to work for it. Other demoRat policies have also contributed to this like moving away from the bible meme of spare the rod spoil the child,  Kommon Kore, participation trophies where everyone is a winner, the systematic removal of the pretense of gender, and I could go on. All of these are platforms put forth by the demRats, the oppression of urban minorities by race baiters etc. When the familial unit was destroyed and the introduction of abortion to hide the fact of genocide as a good thing, then its no wonder how we got here. The thing is you can only hide the truth so long before it comes bubbling back to the surface. What is is interesting though is the gentleman who is credited with starting this movement is not the founder of the movement. He is the face of the movement, Kayne West and the left's treatment of him had more to do with the start of this movement than the gentleman who put it to video. Bernie had a part but he did nothing with it but instead sold out to get Hitlary elected - failed. Bernie's followers got mad at the whole DNC convention ordeal and it is not surprising that they would want to walk away. Just follow the breadcrumbs, they are there if you look hard enough for how this movement really got started.

Good thoughts Theseus.....not long ago the Tea Party split some of the voting for the Right.......yes, mostly all believing the same things.......but enough to affect some of the elections......Right now I believe the Left is in that same place......

The Old Dino's won't get out of the way..........and the MSM has the younger base pretty well brain washed to the Sanders way of thinking.....

The left is in a real mess.....

The Right rejected the status quo with the Election of Trump....

As we just saw in District 14..........anything might happen at this point.........well, actually I guess Trump was the one who really got the "change train" rolling...

Always enjoy reading your thoughts!     CL

Tea Party wasn't just about splitting votes from the right, although it has been widely portrayed in the media that way and the majority were on the right. However there were a good many from the left (libertarians, demRats and others) that were also part of the Tea Party movement. Trump's election could be said to be an extension of this movement. The Tea Party was disenfranchised from those they elected into office in the Congressional election that swept many backers of the Tea Party into office. The problem that eventually came about was the fact that those elected on the back of the Tea Party once in office did not do as promised and turned out to be another false promise to the American people. A lot of people I know who fully embraced the Tea Party said they would not vote for the Repub candidate again they voted for whom had made the claim and promises of the Tea Party. The LAmestream media had their practice run of fake news with the Tea Party as well. Foreign involvement in elections is not unheard of. Consider the Clinton Presidency, China was heavily involved in donating money to the Clintons. Soros and his ilk started the MoveOn.org super pac. Soros after the 2000 election systematically targeted the officials in charge of certifying the election results in each state. HE owed to never have another KAtherine Harris in charge of certifying election results again. The NOI has been systematically effecting elections since the 1950's. While outside forces try and sometimes get away with this influence, i.e. the China influence, although Chu was convicted and imprisoned to cover up China's involvement, domestic forces are far worse. Soros was a Jewish nazi sympathizer, a capo. He has said that he would like to see the return of the Fourth Reich which Hitler was heavily involved in planning after WWII. That is another story for another day. For those naysayers about Hitler committing suicide, not one of the soldiers who threw his body into the fire could verifiably confirm the body was indeed Hitler's and second the skull of Hitler held by the Russians had its DNA tested quite recently and was found to have woman's DNA. I digress and that is for another discussion.

The Tea Party was portrayed negatively in the Lamestream media and it is no wonder why people think of it as an alt-right organization when in fact it was crossed all political affiliations and ideologies. Antifa is a radical left organization but you don't hear too much about how Soros started that group. Or do you hear about the stuff they wear is not just leather gloves or their boots are steel-toed that they wear.
