Iraq discloses designs for redenominated banknotes slated for July 2013

It's says both "redenominate" and "nominal value" in the article.

So who knows what they really mean?

They can't get the story straight, that's why people are confused.

Nominal value means face value.

To knock off 3 zeros would mean 25,000=25.

This is a lop article.

Not how its gonna roll out!

Gosh, these last couple of days, people don't seem to understand what I say.

I must be talking Chinese, or maybe Greek.

I know the difference between nominal value and redenominate.

What I'm saying is the article says BOTH things.  If the reporters can't get their stories straight, Dinarians get confused.  Some think LOP the zeros off the currency, while others think they will take the zeros off the front of the rate of .00086.  If we don't get the correct information, some people are uncertain as to which way it goes.

And that's why the debate still goes on after all these years!

its by design ... if we knew for sure i would be holding more or less iqd no doubt about it , even when the cbi used to put out currency info it was always a little fuzzy open to speculation as a by-product the dinar pumpers and sellers made millions from it . ✌️

IMF in 2011

"Over time, rising oil revenues could put upward pressure on the real exchange rate, which would warrant allowing greater exchange rate flexibility."

And now the question begs.. when did that time they mention start ticking.. We can do this all day

Ugh, that Obama again.  If you haven't seen the video LadyGrace'sDaddy linked to in another thread http://dinarvets.com/forums/index.php?/topic/256312-to-really-understand-the-rv-you-must-watch-this/&_fromLogin=1, head over there now and go to time stamp 3:45 and watch for a few minutes.

Another thing I like about seeing this article, is if it was slated for July 2013 ..... Then July the beginning of third quarter is hopeful !!!

By design if the article is out of Iraq.

Not by design if the article is from Reuters.

The reporter didn't know anything about dinar or the revaluation.  (Just noticed - Article was written by the Reuter's Staff.  None of them know anything about dinar.) 😂

Why do these notes show different countries at the bottom of each card?

those notes on display are not the alleged iqd LD's , my guess whoever did the story put a visual for the article , to my knowledge there has never been a actual pic of them only vague written descriptions  ....
