umbertino
Track performed by first DP lineup : Rod Evans – lead vocals Ritchie Blackmore – guitar Jon Lord (RIP) – organ, backing vocals Nick Simper – bass, backing vocals Ian Paice – drums Later Rod Evans would be replaced by Ian Gillan and Nick Simper would be replaced by Roger Glover and that will be the steady DP lineup for many years and many albums before changing again..... umbertino
All of next songs are performed by the classic / epic somehow DP lineup ( Deep Purple In Rock, Fireball, Machine Head albums etc.) Ritchie Blackmore – guitar Jon Lord – keyboards, organ Ian Paice – drums, percussion Ian Gillan – lead vocals Roger Glover – bass This lineup then crumbled mainly because there was a bad fight going on for years between vocalist Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore ( acknowledged by many as a great guitarist but also crazy like a horse) They had gotten to the point of beating each other in a few occasions........ Can't recall exactly...But one of those 2 (or both maybe) left the band Edited June 20, 2018 by umbertino
