According to Observers, Iran is the biggest loser after the success of U.S.-North Korean summit, which was held on Tuesday in Singapore, as it lost important ally in favor of Washington.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi said that "America's past is bad”, accusing Washington of withdrawing from bilateral international multilateral agreements.
Ghasemi urged North Korean government to be aware during negotiations with the United States.

For his part, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a press conference that Washington is ready to give North Korea unprecedented security guarantees, noting that the talks between Washington and Pyongyang are "progressing quickly.”

Strong relations between Tehran and Pyongyang have been witnessed since the 1980s, as they both considered the United States as their enemy.

Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei visited North Korea in the mid-1980s when he was President of Iran, followed by another visit by Hashemi Rafsanjani in the late 1980s in order to strengthen relations between the two countries.

According to a report published in May 2017, the military cooperation between Iran and North Korea witnessed huge developments after Tehran tested a cruise missile, which was developed by North Korean experts, from the submarine "Midget" in the Strait of Hormuz.

On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un held a historic meeting in Singapore, in which they signed a comprehensive document aimed at the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

During the summit, Trump pointed out that North Korea already destroyed a site for missile tests, adding that he has invited Kim to visit the White House.

The U.S. president confirmed that new talks between Washington and Pyongyang will be held next week.

Trump announced in a news conference that sanctions against North Korea will remain in effect.

The two leaders pledged to work toward a complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. In turn, Washington committed to provide security guarantees for the Asian nation.

Trump also said he had discussed with Kim issues related to human rights.

He added that his country will stop the "very provocative" and expensive joint military exercises with South Korea in order to facilitate denuclearization negotiations with North Korea, saying that the Korean war will be over soon.

“The war games are very expensive, we pay for the majority of them. Under the circumstances that we’re negotiating, I think it’s inappropriate to be having war games”, Trump said in a press conference.
