He added that "all deputies must be in the parliament today to vote or rejection of this law," indicating that "who calls for the rights of the people and the fight against corruption is absent from the House of Representatives."

America is starting to fail in that, and Iraq is clearly failing. In the end it's a choice between democracy and a tyrant. If enough people don't act grown up enough, you end up with a tyrant. Iraq is at a fork in the road, and must choose democracy, and actually make it work, by painful power and money trade-offs and compromises. If not, their choice will end, and it's back to Saddam.
