This is good...no quorum to add confusion and non-legitimacy to the elections! I feel that this was another attempt by Maliki and the corrupt to call into legitimacy of the recent elections. Without a quorum there is not enough interest to move this forward.

Due to the mandate of the end of the Iraqi parliament , the  current early June / next June, while not resolving the file legislative elections  and accusations of rigging that accompanied until now, and could not be the new parliament held its first meeting to announce the launch of the new parliamentary session , prompting observers to fear The entry of Iraq in a legislative vacuum coincides with the security deterioration that began to hit different parts of the country. 
An Iraqi parliamentary source ruled out the ability of the current parliament to achieve a quorum for holding a parliamentary session before the end of its session after about a week, explaining to the " new Arab " that attention is now directed towards the new parliament, which is supposed to hold its first session and choose its president before the end of the current parliament session early next month . 

The source pointed out that most of the  losers in the elections packed their belongings and left the Green Zone after losing hope that an emergency session could change the course of the electoral process.

In this context, a political science professor at Baghdad University, Hassan Alaidani , said that the end of the current session of Parliament and the failure to convene the new parliament sessions " Parliament intervention in a legislative vacuum with dire consequences " , pointing out the " new Arab " that the first meeting of the elected parliament " must be held in The fastest time for the election of a speaker of the House of Representatives . "

He added : " The next step is the selection of the President of the Republic by a two-thirds of the members of Parliament , " stressing that " the third step is through the President of the Republic to appoint a candidate of the Great Bloc to form a new government . "

He explained that " the legislative vacuum that happened will be reflected on all joints of the state , " warning of the recurrence of security breaches at this stage, " in which terrorism believes that the ministries of state without powers . "


The warnings come at a time when Iraqi cities have seen several violations in the last 48 hours, which led to the intensification of security measures. 
An officer in the Iraqi Interior Ministry said that the police forces began, since Friday, to intensify procedures at the entrances of areas and public parks against the backdrop of the suicide bombing that targeted the park in the Shula district of Baghdad, and killed and wounded, indicating, in an interview with "the new Arab " , that the procedures Security also included the entrances of cities, especially the Iraqi capital Baghdad, which intensified inspection procedures at the entrances.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi ordered earlier security measures to control the security file inside the cities and the border file, at a time when officials linked these measures and the announcement of the election results.
