BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Political analyst Hazem al-Bawi on Monday (July 2, 2018) criticized the role of the prosecutor and his apparent lack of cooperation with Interpol in the arrest of convicted politicians outside Iraq, pointing out that the judiciary has become politicized.

He added that "Iraq and over the past years had a date with many occasions politicization of the judiciary or lack of seriousness in the follow-up of these cases, especially with the accused figures fleeing from abroad amid a complete inability to deal with the fugitives deal with the Interpol International Police, just as happened with Barzani When Berlin forced him to return the German girl's killer. "

He pointed out that "the Iraqi people regret the absence of the role of the prosecution, as well as the lack of confidence in the judiciary and the executive departments in the application of the law on everyone," stressing that "the law applies to the simple citizen only, the saying that the Iraqi people daily cynically."

Al-Bawi warned that "the amnesty law becomes a gateway to the escape of politicians accused of terrorism, crimes and corruption from the grip of justice, as this law was an opportunity to escape the killers and murderers and criminals from the prisons without being subject to retribution."

Disclosure of allocations exceeding the 20 billion dinars undeclared deputies required after the departure of parliament

aljournal July 2, 2018

The parliament has been four years old and perfect, and there are so many "glee" feelings that have angered public opinion about the performance of MPs, to the extent that some consider their demise "a relief for money and slaves," but there is something hidden that could overturn the table.

The deputies have already left their seats, and in practice they are not entitled to receive any financial allocations from July 1, 2018. They have been denied many privileges as long as they have been controversial and the public has been censured. To ordinary citizens, "what is the secret?

"Deputies of the Mujahideen for their seats are paid salaries until the end of the current year," a source familiar with the interview told The Journal News, referring to an undisclosed departure that allowed this possibility.

"The deputies, after the end of the parliament, on Saturday evening (June 39, 2018), still enjoy many of the privileges that give them money, and did not make much difference when they were under the parliament.

Provision and continuing benefits after departure

"The survival of the deputies after the end of the parliament, is not possible, and if true, this is a constitutional violation was not provided for in the Iraqi constitution, a classification for theft."

"The privileges that the member of the House of Representatives and his family enjoy so far are the diplomatic passport, the parliamentary status as a former deputy and the pensions, but the parliamentary role in the end of the parliamentary role is not possible," he said in an interview with the Journal News.

"The problem is not the salary, it may be small, but the problem with the provisions of the deputy and protections, he remains in the name of a deputy and has protections, with financial allocations amounting to 12 million dinars per month."

"Lazy parliament" and nothing will change in its absence

For his part, political analyst Ibrahim al-Sarraji said in an interview with «Journal News», that "all deputies will receive a pension, and thus the financial savings of the state will not be significant by the end of the parliament," adding that "the absence of a parliament does not have a significant impact on the work of the executive authority In Iraq because of the lack of seriousness of the parliament and its committees. "

"The parliament has been lazy in all its legislative and supervisory powers, since the number of laws passed by the parliament is not consistent with what is spent on it, and even the supervisory committees were weak and locked the halls of the House of Representatives. Of parliament ".

"The parliament was frustrated, weak and ineffective, both in the interrogation process and in diagnosing the performance of the government," Serraji said.

More than $ 23 billion in pockets of deputies unemployed!

There has always been a big debate in Iraq over the salaries of senior officials and deputies and the vast difference between them and the salaries of other grades in state institutions.

If the allocations of about 12 million dinars charged by deputies outside the state of the parliament, they amount to 3 billion and 936 million dinars per month, since the number of deputies 328, that the total amount for the remaining six months of this year amounted to 23 billion and 616 million dinars .

Each deputy is awarded 100% of the nominal salary of the PhD holders, 75% of the holders of the master's degree, 45% of the holders of the bachelor's degree, the graduate of the institute 35%, and finally the certificate of prep 25% of the nominal salary.

According to a previous statement of the outgoing parliament, the highest rate of salaries of deputies does not exceed 10 million dinars after it was previously 12 million and 900 thousand dinars, indicating that the package reforms implemented by Prime Minister Haider Abadi in 2016 reduced the salaries of deputies to this extent.

I'll get giddy when they actually follow through on all these empty promises. Abadi announced in Mid MARCH the pending arrest of 50 high profile 'corrupt' officials, but nothing out of his camp since. Less talk, more action.

Information / Baghdad ..

The economic expert Majid al-Suri said on Tuesday that Iraq's salaries and retirements for the next eight years will build 10,000 schools, pointing out that the deputy can not be compared to the employee. He should be given a reward after his term in parliament and not a large pension.

"The salaries of MPs will cost Iraq billions of dollars after 12 years, especially that a large part of the services that were provided to the deputies will continue over the coming years," he said, adding that "it is unreasonable that someone charged with legislation and oversight And not a government employee receives a salary and retirement in large amounts for ordinary employees, where it is not reasonable to receive a staff member for more than 35 years of retirement of 300 thousand dinars.

He explained that "the decision to abolish the retirement of deputies has not been implemented, because the MP in the parliament does not deserve a salary, but it has an equivalent, because the budget will suffer a lot of burdens, and may be exploited all the resources of oil and non-oil to pay salaries of employees in the state and retirees of the deputies."

"What will be given to the deputies of salaries and retirement during the next eight years will build more than 10 thousand schools, all because of mismanagement of state funds and stealing the money of the Iraqi people by parties and parties working for their personal interests." Ending / 25 n
