How can you support your family working at the McDonald?  Jobs at the McDonalds are for the students who are entering in the job market.  You don't expect to work at McDonald and make enough money to support your family.  That is the problem with this picture.  If you want to support your family, you need to find job that would pay you enough money.  But first, you need to go to school and further your education.  Don't expect the tax payers to pay for your lifestyle for ever.  Proper planning and making right choices supported by family will further your success in this life.  If you make poor choices, don't expect people to feel sympathy for your failures.  I'm sorry for sounding like I don't care about people, but I've see too much of those people who did not finish high schools and ended up in a bad situation because of poor choices they made.

Because government assistance was never intended to be a way of life.

If you want those things, as stated in other posts,

Pick a career oriented job,

go to school

get an education,
