I live in a very woodsy part of Michigan ,one traffic light in the whole county . Years ago ,the DNR released 12 young male cougars into the woods  in some kind of experiment  to control the deer population . Then some Ted Nugent wannabees released  female cougars into the area . Boom ! .  I was walking down the beach one day and saw a a curious  big  object by the water's edge . I walked a little closer when this  "object " stood up and had a big long tail . I high tailed it out of there .
