BAGHDAD (Reuters)

- The inability to form a government that adopts national demands is due to the "survival of quotas," the religious authority said on Friday, pointing out that fake elections can not be resolved by artificial alliances.

"The crisis created by the occupation through its political process and the fake and burning elections can not be solved by artificial alliances and changing media meetings," Khalidi said during a Friday sermon in the city of Kadhimiya in Baghdad.

He added that "the crisis in fact is in the quota and is the only issue remaining between the parties to the political process and this makes them unable to form an Iraqi government to adopt national demands."

Al-Khalisi offered "a final advice to every Iraqi to seek a solution inside Iraq, away from foreign embassies, especially the US Embassy, the British Embassy and those who follow them."
