The Director of the Financial Directorate of the Popular People's Assembly, Qassim Al-Zubaidi, was injured on Sunday after being shot in the capital Baghdad.

"The Director of the Financial Directorate Qasem al-Zubaidi was subjected today to an assassination attempt by a gunman in the capital Baghdad, which led to severe injuries and was transferred to the intensive care in a hospital," said a media statement received by the student news agency ISNA.

Dawa Party calls for the detection of the perpetrators in the assassination of the director of finance popular crowd

The Islamic Dawa Party (Dawa) called Sunday for the release of the perpetrators and those behind them in the assassination of the director of finance of the Popular Struggle Organization, Qassim al-Zubaidi, who was killed in an armed attack this morning south of Baghdad.

In a statement, Mawazine News said in a statement that "in recognition of God's justice and dignity, the Dawa Party, the mujahideen leader Qassem Zaeef (Abu Mohammad), who was subjected to a criminal and cowardly terrorist incident in his home in Baghdad, "He said." He was one of the active preachers who are committed to the true approach of Islam, the initiators of serving the people, the diligent in their work, who continue to perform their national duties in various fields.

"We also call on the security services to identify the perpetrators who committed this terrorist crime quickly and to reveal who is behind them," the statement added.

Earlier on Sunday, the Popular Propaganda Authority (KDP) announced the death of the director of finance of the organization, Qassem al-Zubaidi, from his wounds after being assassinated in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

Iraqi Candidate Killed Before Election

An Iraqi candidate who was running for the upcoming parliamentary election was killed on Sunday in Iraq’s capital.

Najim Hasnawi was Nouri al-Maliki’s State of Law candidate for the 12th May election.

A security source told Iraqi media that Hasnawi was gunned down while passing by a street fight in Baghdad’s Mashtal district. Source

Newspaper: Suspicion of "delusional" in the assassination of the director of the crowd

Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper quoted sources as the financial director of the popular group Qasim al-Zubaidi who had written off the names of thousands of imaginary fighters from the crowd lists, likely to be harmed by his actions behind his assassination.

The sources said, according to "Middle East", "Zubaidi was a good reputation, and sought to reveal thousands of fake names included in the lists of fighters of the crowd," excluded that "the investigation bodies can reveal the circumstances of the incident or bring the perpetrators to justice in the near future."

The Popular People's Assembly announced on Sunday the death of al-Zubaidi, a member of the Islamic Dawa Party, from wounds sustained after an assassination attempt in Baghdad.

Political circles attribute the martyrdom of the director of crowd finance

02/5/2018 12:00 am  It claims to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice    Baghdad / morning  condemned the political leaders, the criminal attack on the Director of Finance in the form of the popular crowd, Qassem weak Zubaidi, which led to his martyrdom, demanding security agencies to prosecute the perpetrators and arrest them and bring them to justice to receive their just punishment.  Al-Zubaidi was subjected to a criminal attack. He was taken to hospital after being seriously injured. He was martyred. The funeral was attended by many leaders in the popular crowd.   "We extend our deepest condolences and condolences to the Iraqi people and to the family of preacher Mujahid al-Zubaidi, who was martyred in the wake of an accident that left him exposed," said Vice President Nuri al-Maliki in a statement to his office.  For his part, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, said that "the hand of treachery extended to the financial officer of the popular crowd, after he said the right and defended the reference and demanded obedience and criticized with all transparency."  The Dawa Party, in a statement, called on "the security services to identify the perpetrators who committed this terrorist crime quickly and to reveal who is   behind them."  In the same context, the head of the popular crowd, Faleh al-Fayadh, said in a statement to the Authority: "The Popular Crowd Authority once again boasts one of its senior officials, Finance Director Qasim Zaeeb al-Zubaidi, after the incident left cowardly, to register his name with the martyrs."
