Maliki: "If we pull our resources, fight this together for ALL of Iraq, negate the election results and announce me as your Prime Minister for Life, there's a good chance some of that $20 Billion USD I'm 'safeguarding' could find it's way into your bank account."

Oh, I think you might be wrong and very disappointed if the corrupt/The Owners somehow come to rule.  I doubt that will happen, but it's going to take longer to seat the government because of their appeals.  Saturday, will tell us a lot I hope.

A parliamentary session tomorrow to discuss violations of the Iraqi elections at the request of 80 deputies

To detect fraud in the elections abroad ... and hint at bloody clashes in Kirkuk

Bright Resan

MPs from various political blocs, held a joint conference under the dome of the House of Representatives, on Thursday, in which he confirmed that the participation rate in the legislative elections that took place on 12 May this year, amounted to 16%, not as the Commission stated that 44.5%, which means that Elections are "illegal."
The Office of the Speaker of the Parliament, Salim al-Jubouri, in a brief statement, that the latter set the next Saturday as the date requested by the deputies, in the presence of the Electoral Commission.
MP Farid Brahimi, on the coalition of the rule of law led by al-Maliki, said during the conference: «It became clear to all today the size of the fraud witnessed by the elections. The UNHCR is covering up and taking part in a large part of it, which undermined its credibility and impartiality in building the people who cast their votes on the small number of them ». He continued: «Confirm everyone, the great reluctance witnessed by the elections, which is not denied only those who do not want the good of this country, until the rate of participation to less than 16% after some international organizations said that the vote did not exceed 19%, which departs from these The election of its constitution and the illegitimacy of legal ».
He added: "Everyone is sure of the evidence and evidence available to us, the nature of unfair competition in some quarters, blocs and alliances in the biggest scandal to buy and buy votes, even within the list, which foreshadows a political process will be the most corrupt and bad than ever before, "This threatens the future of the future of the largest citizen of the elections, more than the reality and the outcome of today, and his loss of confidence in the entire political process after proving the lack of independence and credibility of the Commission by the testimony of one of its commissioners Said Kakaee, who revealed to the public opinion fraud operations carried out under the cover of UNHCR. According to Brahimi «Based on these facts and given the proven fraud in multiple regions and provinces, we call for an emergency session of Parliament and hosting the Commission during which to come out of decisions that preserve the votes of voters and reveal the rights of the Iraqi people».

Business management

Most of the political blocs acknowledge that the electoral process has witnessed "fraud" and major violations, some of them related to technical aspects, while corruption is the cause of most of them.
The National Coalition, led by Iyad Allawi, attacked the Electoral Commission for the elections, accusing it as «weak and penetrated».
A statement to the coalition confirmed that «the polling stations were infiltrated by the political entities that dominate the authority», noting that «the coalition has many violations and observations that have been recorded, including not to allow the modern card holders to vote in polling stations, in addition to intentionally disable the electronic devices, The displaced are allowed to cast their ballots, and our monitors are not allowed to receive the results. "
He continued: «Many areas in Baghdad and other provinces in which we have a popular, has seen citizens not to vote, and voting abroad has been rigged, and we have evidence in the ballot of Iraqis in the UAE», saying that «the results are not true , And therefore, they are void ».
He stressed that «the participation rate according to global statistics is 20%, but raised capacity capable of 44.5%», calling for «re-election and the cancellation of results, and the formation of a caretaker government. The street is complaining about the results and was not happy with them, except for the parties of the Authority, which are continuing their efforts to divide the cake. "

Sale of electoral centers

Although the "violations" that accompanied the electoral process did not exclude one province but another, but appeared clear in the areas that witnessed military operations against the organization of the "Islamic State", led by Nineveh.
"We objected earlier to holding the elections in Nineveh province, fearing fraud, and indeed there were very large operations, as well as intimidation and forced the people of Nineveh to elect certain blocks," said Noura al-Bajari, a member of Nineveh province.
Among the violations that accompanied the electoral process in Nineveh is "the suspension of polling stations in very many centers, in addition to running out of ballots at 2 pm (on the day of voting), which led to the occurrence of frauds is very large," according to Bjari revealed For "forcing the displaced in the camps to elect a specific political bloc (without mentioning)."
She pointed to the request of a number of deputies, to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the repercussions «and the manipulation and sale and purchase of the entire electoral centers», noting «we question the elections, and call for the re-counting and sorting manually».

Theft of votes in Kirkuk

In the province of Kirkuk, the position is still haggard, against the background of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the lists of elections (Arab and Turkmen) in the city, which is the most disputed areas between Baghdad and Erbil.
Against this background, Arabs and Turkmen Kirkuk, the Kurdish party accused of rigging elections in the province in his favor.
The deputy of the Arab Coalition in Kirkuk, Hassan Turan, said in a statement that «the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, led by the late President Jalal Talabani, has forged more than 600 polling stations out of 1200, and the staff of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan have changed the data storage of funds before Polling day. "
He added: "The stations that change the unity is won only by the candidates of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, who failed in his political project in Kirkuk, and the public was reluctant to be elected, was resorted to fraud, and we are afraid of counting votes and we will accept any result after counting and sorting », Calling blocs and lists, to« not to waste Kirkuk Kirkuk and avoid the sale of Kirkuk deals for the separatist parties ».
"The Board of Commissioners spent $ 105 million on the electronic counting and sorting system, the financial control and the UNAMI mission," he said, warning that the Board of Commissioners is "colluding with fraud and not taking any action, and we hold it responsible for every drop of blood falling in Kirkuk." The system is hackable.
The commander of the law enforcement plan in Kirkuk, Maj. Gen. Maan al-Saadi, that the «secure» all the ballot boxes, and that the situation in the province «stable».
He said in a statement that «the circulation of the detention of employees of the Electoral Commission as hostages in the province, a disgrace for health», indicating that «all the ballot boxes secured with flashes and rum in a warehouse and the protection of fighters of members of the anti-terrorism apparatus. "The situation inside Kirkuk province is stable and not worrying."
This comes after the election commission announced the detention of its office staff in Kirkuk as "hostages" by gunmen and demonstrators who objected to the results.
But the governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Said Jubouri, denied the news, pointing out that there is a gathering of protesters and demonstrators from the people of Kirkuk, in front of the UNHCR office in the province.
In a joint press conference with Arab and Turkmen deputies, he said that "the anti-terrorism forces and the local police are the ones who protect the protestors and the demonstrators peacefully." He explained that "what resulted from the elections is a disaster and a major crisis in Kirkuk, Law enforcement plan. "
He stressed the "refusal of the people of Kirkuk to transfer their votes in favor of a party that lost its popularity due to its wrong policies" without naming it, pointing out «the continuation of sit-ins and peaceful demonstrations against the Electoral Commission, which did not take any decision or step on complaints filed by all Arab political entities and Turkmen and Kurdish vote General and Private.
"We called for measures before the elections, including the replacement of CD Ram for more than 600 polling stations," he said, adding that "the Board of Commissioners is responsible for the loss of Arab and Turkmen voters and for any drop of blood in our province."
He called on the protesters to "not clash with the government security agencies and provide them with protection and cooperation with them and not to harm the public property." He stressed that «demonstrations and sit-ins will continue day and night until the realization of the demands of the citizens of Kirkuk to open the funds complained of».

It is pretty amazing that the people have not stormed the gates and took things into their own hands. I guess this election is the closest thing to it.

In the past I had expected " folks in an ugly mood with torches, pitchforks & axes storming the Parliament Bldg." Thankfully, this never took shape. The results of the election has left segments of the populace " rather perturbed & surly." Once the dust settles and here's hoping without bloodshed, the GOI will be formed, perhaps we can finally get off this roller coaster; ASAP. ( not holding my breath, though ) more like praying.
