I don't know Adam, on this one, I believe Facebook is a big deal. There are 190 countries on Facebook and many of these countries elections are determined, not by due process but brought about by what is happening and being said on Facebook. Has it affected the US... I don't have that answer. But many of these small countries it surely has consequences.

Now, what may happen in Syria by the US.... this IS big news and you are spot on.

There have been posts recently suggesting Maliki may have a shot at gaining more supporters than Abadi in the coming elections, and thus becoming the face of Iraq, once again, with all that brings. If Abadi is in such a tenuous position in his government, and he could theoretically avoid losing power by orchestrating an RV, why doesn't he?

Facebook thing is a farce really... Zuckerberg even isn’t under oath.... hmmmm. Now the Syrian thing is real news. Great insight Adam. Enquiring minds want to know what is really going on... so many possibilities. Of course it just feels like the RV is in this somewhere.

I remember 14-15 years ago when the US was wanting to inspect Iraq's factories to be sure they were not producing chemical weapons (like what they used on the Kurds)  My theory is that they shipped them to Syria under the radar so they wouldn't be caught by the inspectors.  Now- Tadaa!- Syria just happens to have some to use on these rebels.  I can understand why Trump is so heated up about this- and with good reason!  The tricky part is to not start a war with Russia.

Anyone remember the good old days before Facebook, Instagram and Twitter?

When you had to take a photo of your dinner,

then get the film developed,

then go around to all your friends' houses to show them the picture of your dinner?

No? Me neither.

:D  :D  :D

Or remembering phone numbers in your head.
