"There are still about 20 percent of closed roads, although the council has called for the Baghdad operations to reopen all of them and to remove the concrete barriers except for the Green Zone," Mutlabi told Ashqaf News. Green Zone more green fortified areas, and includes the headquarters of the government, parliament and most of the foreign embassies and added , "With respect to the traffic congestion it is because of the huge number of vehicles and checkpoints have been lifted 150 security checkpoint from Baghdad to alleviate those bottlenecks." The capital is witnessing an improvement in the security file, especially after the elimination of the Dahesh organization. The security leaders resorted to the closure of several main streets in a plan to control the security file, which witnessed a significant deterioration in the coming years.
