....I know you're right...The educating phase of the CBI's plans to bring the dinar back into the international theater...by establishing a true market value for the worth of their sovereign currency has been implimented...It was stated after the education process the CBI next step was to introduce the smaller denominational notes....The CBI only has to be concerned with enough workable liquidity within the CBI's banking network to handle a worse case scenario...

I guess that makes two of watching for those smalls. Trust you are doing well Skeetdog. :twothumbs:

i agree skeetdog, central bank does not need to cover every note in the world other central banks will handle the iqd returned to those banks in other countries with digital transactions , imo only , the iraqi with money outside / inside the banking system within iraq's borders will not become instantly wealthy if / when the iqd's value increases the exchange rate has no effect inside the country other than the citizens will get more purchasing power  , one dinar will still be one dinar, but inflation ,cost of living ect. will all factor into how much PP they will realize ( i recently read that the inflation is actually low in iraq ) , if anyone is a usa resident for any length of time you know that one dollar used to purchase more than it will today but a dollar is still one dollar , take that same dollar outside the borders to a country with a lesser or greater currency you then see your currencies strength / weakness . ( not investment advice :tiphat: )  ... lets roll

How Iraqi sovereignty supports US national interests

ÙÙ٠تدع٠اÙسÙادة اÙعراÙÙØ© اÙÙصاÙØ اÙÙØ·ÙÙØ© اÙØ£ÙرÙÙÙØ©

17th April, 2018

On May 12, Iraqis go to the polls to choose their next parliament, after which officials will negotiate the appointment of a prime minister and the formation of a government.

The country has gone through an epic since its last general election in April 2014, and has surpassed the territory of more than 3 million people, 22 cities and many oil fields, all of which were liberated with the help of popular mobilization forces and international military forces. Oil prices fell by half, and only strict austerity measures, foreign aid and partial recovery of the country's price of bankruptcy.  The KRG proposed financial independence and held a referendum on secession from Iraq, prompting Baghdad to seize Kirkuk oilfields last October.  Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey have signaled a new willingness to work with the Shi'ite-led Iraqi government as a means of balancing Iranian influence.

In short, voters have suffered enormous shocks and are now joined by young voters who can not even remember Saddam's era. These voters may have stronger ideas about the future of Iraq than the candidates themselves, although the campaign officially started last weekend, Elections are already taking shape. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has achieved more than any reasonable observer predicted given the horrendous situation he inherited in 2014, and can point to the fragile economic and military recovery as a reason to give him another term. Economic is critical but painful at present. Yet it still points to new possibilities for Iraq.  In particular, Abadi called for the country to be neutral in the evolving conflict between pro-Iranian and pro-Iranian camps. He said he wanted to represent all Iraqis, not just Arab Shiites, and that his electoral list was the only one to compete in each province. , Including the Kurdistan Regional Government, if Baghdad can achieve this vision of an independent and stable nation living in peace with its people, it will be in line with the interests of the United States.

(US strike on Iraq's sovereignty)

In 2005, the United States helped Iraqis draft a new constitution and ratify it so their country could stand on its own.
In 2009, President Obama laid the foundation for the withdrawal of US troops by defining the vision of a "sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq," and pledged "to form a partnership with the people and government of Iraq that contribute to the peace and security of the region."

This vision is still achievable, but it is being tested by the strong growth of Iranian influence across the Middle East. Tehran's progress in Iraq has slowed down due to the permanent fabric of the state and the number of citizens who reject Iranian control, but there are many serious signs. Tehran's record in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen indicates that it will try to get as much influence as possible in Iraq, even if it means stagnation on democratic norms, minority rights and the rule of law. In contrast to Iran's expansionist goals, He has told Iraqi leaders - even senior Shia politicians - that they appreciate the continued involvement of the United States because it gives them leverage to balance Tehran's influence. They are well aware that this balance of power will be disastrously distorted if it is sculpted. Washington aside.

Iraqis have many reasons for resisting Iranian influence: after five decades of conflict, they do not want to be drawn into Tehran's wars like Lebanon. Iran's relations could restrict its relations with Saudi Arabia and other neighboring countries, depriving it of vital investment and trade partnerships. Iran is its natural competitor in the fields of oil, gas, electricity and petrochemical exports.

The dominance of Iranian imports is a source of resentment among Iraqi farmers, manufacturers and merchants. Last but not least, the Islamic Republic is a religious rivalry with major Shiite religious institutes and pilgrimage sites in Najaf and Karbala, where Tehran may seek more influence when Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani orders, The Iraqi (and American) strategy would be best served if the country was similar to Finland in the Cold War, while maintaining a degree of autonomy from Tehran as well as Washington.

(The role of the United States during elections)

No foreign country has any business trying to pick a winner in the Iraqi elections, and any direct intervention in the process of building a successor coalition may backfire. Instead, the best approach for the United States and its allies is to establish a clear framework for If Iraqi politicians move towards a comprehensive government, clever security policies, economic reform, and regional neutrality, these are the same issues that Iraqis overwhelmingly supported in opinion polls.
Washington's offer - ideally the other coalition partners - must be a comprehensive package of security and non-security support, depending on a friendly Iraqi government prepared to address these issues.

One important element of this presentation is the presence of US military training over the next few years, both for security purposes against the emergence of a potential supporter and a political symbol, even in the national twilight of a "defeat" urging, many Iraqi politicians realize the importance of international security cooperation led by United State. The US troop withdrawal in 2011 coincided with a resurgent growth, while US-led forces have participated in nearly all of Iraq's victories since 2014.

There is no single action that could better confirm Baghdad's relationship with Washington and its openness to neighboring Arab countries and Turkey, To allow coalition forces to remain , the present military presence should not be an indicator of American duty or right, but as a mutually beneficial arrangement guided by the same simple principles as the "inherent reform process": ensuring that combat operations are carried out "through, Avoid unauthorized US bases or unilateral operations.  Establish an alliance with as wide a range of international partners as possible. To maintain the size of the Mission and its activities are adaptable to Iraq's requirements.  Accept that the existing Iraqi legal authorities are sufficient to continue the presence of troops.

In addition, Washington must link security cooperation and broader implementation of the 2008 Strategic Framework Agreement, which goes beyond military relations and forms the basis for economic, political and energy cooperation.  US officials need to remind Baghdad of the advantages that come with being friends of America, including: helping the IMF and the World Bank; mobilizing the international donor community, as in February when Kuwait hosted the International Conference on Iraq Reconstruction Diplomatic support to partner with countries such as Saudi Arabia; technical support and management of critical infrastructure and economic projects, not least the rehabilitation of the Mosul dam, and a set of custom benefits that can be achieved when leaders can access "good offices" in the United States.

Finally, Washington should work with Turkey on a common approach with the Kurdistan Regional Government, especially in the area of insurance if efforts to maintain Iraq's relative neutrality, such as cooperation on Kurdish defense, energy and diplomacy, fail to indicate that the United States has Options if Iran gets the upper hand in Baghdad. To keep this option open, Washington needs to continue to act as a fair broker between the central government and Erbil on revenue sharing, disputed areas and security cooperation. On the recent issue, the ongoing US and coalition military presence in Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) may confirm to the Kurds that Washington has a strong interest in preventing their future conflict with Baghdad.

Planet of Iraq

Abbas al-Sabbagh

Prime Minister of Japan (Shinzo Abe) hit the truth with his fair description of Iraq: "Just as you shoot in Iraq against Japan, the planet of Japan will also be the planet of Iraq." He pointed to Japan's visionary strategy on the Iraqi scene and the Japanese side's understanding of Iraq's desire to reach prosperous countries Such as Japan.

It is a reference to what was happening in the social networking sites of descriptions of this ambitious ambition, such as the (Japan), which was launched by some aspirants with a great sigh, but this dream became closer to verification after the Prime Minister of Japan to the possibility of achieving this, But was based on facts and facts on the ground, and was not far from the similarity between the modern history of both countries after the experience of devastating wars and the absurdity of their government and the destruction caused by the huge mistakes made by the decision makers They are the heavy price paid by their peoples.

He also discussed Japan's vision of the Iraqi reality, and estimated the actual need for its reconstruction. It organized a conference on "Job Creation, Labor Qualification, Training and Professional Development in Iraq," in which Iraq participated, represented by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and attended by prominent Japanese personalities, The European Union and the presence of representatives of 30 countries and international organizations at an international forum, which Iraq aspires to be an additional qualitative step to the Kuwait donors conference .

Iraq, after having committed itself to the principles of democracy and the peaceful transfer of power, and after achieving a decisive victory over terrorist gangs, and having succeeded in bridging its good relations with the countries of the world, symbolized the image of a new Iraq, democratic and peaceful, open and reflecting the success of Iraqi diplomacy in this endeavor. With the international community as a whole and in accordance with international law. The visit is important because it coincides with the start of Iraq's construction phase, especially since Japan did not indicate that it was involved in the polar conflict in the world or the Middle East.

This is consistent with the policy of neutrality and exclusion from the policy of involvement in the alliances or axes adopted by Iraq and also in line with the Japanese foreign policy and Japan's association with important political and economic relations with most countries of the world, thus enhancing Iraq's diplomatic asset no matter what Iraq needs in these circumstances. The visit was a valuable opportunity to get a closer look at the Japanese experience.

This successful visit comes after all of Iraq's ability to win the world's confidence, respect and support in all its internal, external, economic, security, political, investment and even socialpolicies. Experiences of the country especially those that enjoy a high global reputation As a Japanese. From this point of view, the visit is gaining its importance from being coinciding with the start of Iraq in the stage of construction and reconstruction and the opening of the Iraqi market for investment. Al-Abbadi said during the conference that Iraq looks forward to the future and has all the elements of the renaissance and development and after it moved to the stage of construction and reconstruction and will triumph in them as it won on terrorism, and that Iraq looks forward after this victory to reconstruction and development and economic development and that it has the energies to do so .

The most important results obtained by Iraq: the possibility of entering Japanese companies giant in various investment sectors in Iraq and reach a number of important agreements with the Japanese government, especially related to the completion of the water project of Greater Basra, the reclamation of land between the Tigris and Euphrates, Four 400 kV power stations will be provided in Maysan, Muthanna, Shatt al-Arab and Shatrah, as well as 12 mobile stations (132 kV), most of which will be operational before the summer of 2018 to increase electricity production in Iraq. The establishment of factories for the manufacture of cars inside Iraq and the provision of after-sales services, and continued cooperation in the fields of oil, energy, electricity, services, education, industry, etc., and the good is coming to the planet of Iraq

This successful visit comes after all of Iraq's ability to win the world's confidence, respect and support system' target='_blank' style=" rel="">support system" rel="">support in all its internal, external, economic, security, political, investment and even socialpolicies.
