According to recent defectors from inside Kim’s brutal regime, the despot is fearful the US administration will strike if they continue to test nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles; possibly launching a full-fledged war on the Korean peninsula. “Kim Jong Un is afraid that the U.S. will launch a preventative strike, and he is trying to buy time to complete his nuclear missile programs,” said former North Korean ruling party official Ri Jong-ho. “Kim Jong Un is struggling under the strongest-yet sanctions and military and diplomatic pressure, so he is trying to improve the situation by putting on a false front,” he added. The revelation comes as crippling sanctions ratchet up the pressure on the North Korean regime, with soldiers and officials reportedly foraging for food as supplies and oil rations quickly dry up.
