The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the Iraqi parliament, Arafat Karam, said on Saturday that the heads of the Kurdish blocs in the Council will meet to discuss a number of new proposals with the Kurdish members of the Finance Committee.

Karam said in a press statement that "the heads of the Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi Council of Representatives will meet Saturday among themselves and with the Kurdish members of the parliamentary finance committee."

"There are new proposals on the share of Kurds from the draft law of the Iraqi budget was reached, and we will discuss and submit it to the Iraqi government."

Karam pointed out that "the vote on the draft law of the Iraqi budget for the year 2018 will be very difficult," noting that "the vote on the bill needs a new session, and this is very difficult now, because there are more than 50 Shiite deputies, along with Sunni MPs and Kurds Do not accept the draft law, and miss each session about one hundred deputies, so the ratification of the project is very difficult without reaching an agreement with the Kurds and Sunnis and this section of the Shiite deputies.

According to the draft law of the Iraqi general budget for 2018, approved by the Council of Ministers of Iraq on 5 November 2017, the share of the Kurdistan region was reduced from 17% to 12.67%, and the project does not use the designation of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and replaced by the Kurdistan Regional Government, Kurds in this attempt to evade recognition of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The deputies of Kurdistan have submitted a project of nine points to resolve these problems, but the Iraqi government did not provide a clear answer to solve the problems.

I knew it was in there, somewhere. Holiday on Carnival cruise Lines. The elusive HCL.

They've earned it. Let's hope that Kuwait Investment money starts rolling in before they

break for re-elections. Maybe we can get them all booked on the same ship.

"MP Ahmed al-Jubouri said that replacing the names of the provinces is not a priority of the Iraqi people at this time."

Is this guy SERIOUS ?? What could be more important?? I mean, they've tackled soccer stadium guidelines, club bouncer restrictions, nurse uniforms, camel traffic regulations. There's 20 more REALLY pressing laws just waiting in the wings too. Once they tip-toe around anything even remotely important (other than budget), they will adjourn to work on their re-election campaigns around April 1st and pass everything left onto next GOI, about September or so (don't forget all those holidays and Ramadan May 16-June 14)

HCL, 140 or anything else is a lost cause this year. Pathetic group of fools.  JMHO of course (not the fools part though).
