The leader of the National Alliance, MP Abbas al-Bayati, for the "new Arab", that "a delegation from the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers met in the region with Kurdish officials in the Kurdistan government to discuss the issue of airports and border crossings," noting the existence of "progress in the talks," but pointed out "To the lack of a final agreement between the parties so far."

Al-Bayati added that "the federal government and the government of the region began to melt the ice in the preliminary dialogues for comprehensive negotiations, which is hoped to be launched in Baghdad soon if successful preliminary negotiations as planned," as he put it.
"The
dialogue now did not touch the big files, but rather discuss the technical issues

"

In this context, he pointed out that "the dialogue now did not include large files, but rather discuss technical issues that could be considered as a prelude or preliminary dismantling of the crisis, including the file of airports, ports and salaries, and in accordance with the constitution announced by Arbil earlier."

The crisis between Baghdad and Erbil entered its fourth month after Baghdad took punitive measures against the region, including an air embargo and economic sanctions, before launching a large-scale military campaign that restored control of some 38,000 km of areas controlled by Kurds in northern Iraq after the " Calling "the terrorist for the country in mid-2014, including oil-rich Kirkuk.

The root of the crisis is the Kurdistan region's referendum on the separation from Iraq at the end of last September, which was rejected by Baghdad strongly.

For his part, MP Ali al-Shuwaili, said that "the first step for any solution, is Erbil's recognition of the mistake and the announcement of cancellation of the referendum, which has not been so far," noting that "dialogues, which insists the government in Baghdad on the need to remain within the Constitution, Broad by the parliament and the Iraqi street as well, and we hope Erbil to provide good intentions to resolve the crisis quickly. In contrast, said the deputy of the Kurdistan Democratic Party"" The talks are ongoing and positive and have yielded good results. "He called on" the prime minister to also keep his promises about Kurdistan, because sometimes he makes many statements that are very much the same as those of the American president Donald Trump, so I hope to abide by these promises, "he said

Karam added that" Abadi achieved a military victory, but did not achieve a political victory, if he wants to be prime minister of the Iraqi people must achieve both victories: military and political, "explaining that" The political victory today is to solve the problems with the Kurdistan region because the region has declared Taza Its constitution and welcomed the dialogue and froze the referendum. "

"What should the Kurdistan Regional Government do?" He asked. "It is time for a serious and fruitful dialogue that will end the suffering of our people, and if we are keen on the unity of the country, we must take care of the unity of the people. Serious and fruitful to end these problems. "

He added that "these wrong policies are what led us to hold the referendum, if they abide by the Constitution, even if they achieved this national reconciliation and solve the problems of what the Kurdish man thought of the referendum on secession," as he put it.

Turkish Foreign Minister Melft Kasekoglu is expected to visit Baghdad on Sunday for his first official visit to the country following a referendum on Kurdish secession, Turkish TRT television reported on Saturday .

However, the volatile security situation in Turkey The country has led to a decline of $ 8 billion in 2016 .

The recent referendum crisis hit more economic activity, not only because of Turkey's limited trade barrier with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), but because of the already bad economy in the region after it lost control of the oil-rich areas of Kirkuk and its environs .
