Economy News Baghdad :

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)'s foreign exchange sales rose to $ 145.88 million from $ 144.29 million on Thursday, up $ 1.59 million.

The Central Bank said in a statement, read by "Economy News" that the exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 38 banks, and 8 companies for the transfer of money.

The bank said the sales were the result of the auction scheduled for Monday, explaining that the total sales for the day amounted to about 179.58 million dollars.

The volume of funds sold to strengthen bank balances abroad was about $ 144.8 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 1.08 million.

The central bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price.

Central Bank of Iraq (CBE) sales fell from 145.88 million dollars on Monday to 145.78 million dollars on Sunday, down $ 100,000. 
"The Central Bank's foreign currency sales fell to 145.78 million dollars, compared to 145.88 million dollars in Sunday's auction, down 100 thousand dollars," the central bank said in a statement. "The exchange rate reached 1190 dinars For each dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 36 banks, and 8 companies for financial transfer. "
"These sales are the results of the auction scheduled for Tuesday," the bank said, adding that "total sales for the day amounted to about 189.98 million dollars." 
He added that "the volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to about 144.16 million dollars, while estimated cash sales amounts to 1.62 million dollars." 
The Central Bank said in a statement that "the sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price."

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) currency auction on February 5 registered $189,977,380 in sales, a 2.70% volume increase from the US $184,979,766 sold by Iraqi Dinar, credit and transfer at the previous auction held on February 4.

The latest auction was attended by 45 banks and 9 remittance companies. The same institutions attended the auction held on February 5 compared to the previous auction.

Data for the February 5 auction was made public by CBI Announcement Number 3628.

Dollar sales in the in the period January 1, 2018 to February 5, 2018 saw an increase of -1% compared to the sales of US $3.79 billion in the same period in 2017. The total amount of US currency sold by CBI in the calendar year 2017 was US $15.7 billion.

An analysis of the monthly dollar sales by CBI since January 2016 reveals highly fluctuating volumes. During the period from January 2016 to February 2018, sales of US dollars averaged US $1.76 billion per month. Peak volumes were reached in May this year when sales touched US $2.3 billion.

The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign currency sales rose Tuesday to 165.88 million dollars, up 20.1 million dollars from yesterday's sales.

"The exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 39 banks, and eight companies for financial transfer," a statement by the central bank said.

The sales were the results of the auction scheduled for Wednesday, adding that "the total sales for the day amounted to about 192.57 million dollars."

He added that "the volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to about 165.61 million dollars, while estimated cash sales amounts to 270 thousand dollars."

He added that "the sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price."
