The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) sold foreign currency during an auction on Sunday to $ 135.26 million, from $ 144.74 million on Thursday, down $ 9.48 million.

"Central Bank sales of foreign currency fell in today's auction to 135.26 million dollars, compared to 144.74 million dollars in Thursday's auction, down 9.48 million dollars," the Central Bank said in a statement received by Mawazine News. 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 38 banks, and 8 companies for financial transfer. "

"The total sales for the day reached $ 173.46 million," the bank said.

Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) sales from foreign currencies fell to $ 132.19 million on Monday, down from $ 135.26 million on Sunday, down $ 3.07 million.

The Central Bank said in its statement that the exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 38 banks and 8 companies for financial transfer .

The bank said the sales were the result of the auction scheduled for Wednesday, explaining that the total sales for the day amounted to about 172.71 million dollars .

The volume of funds sold to boost bank balances abroad was about $ 144.89 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 1.62 million .

The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price .

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) currency auction on January 24 registered $170,172,208 in sales, a -1.47% volume decline from the US $172,710,956 sold by Iraqi Dinar, credit and transfer at the previous auction held on January 23.

The latest auction was attended by 45 banks and 9 remittance companies. The same institutions attended the auction held on January 24 compared to the previous auction.

Data for the January 24 auction was made public by CBI Announcement Number 3620.

Dollar sales in the in the period January 1, 2018 to January 24, 2018 saw an increase of -1% compared to the sales of US $2.47 billion in the same period in 2017. The total amount of US currency sold by CBI in the calendar year 2017 was US $15.7 billion.

An analysis of the monthly dollar sales by CBI since January 2016 reveals highly fluctuating volumes. During the period from January 2016 to January 2018, sales of US dollars averaged US $1.84 billion per month. Peak volumes were reached in May this year when sales touched US $2.3 billion.

Abadi should have the daily auction participants announced in the daily newspapers.  Create transparency for all of Iraq, showing which banks hands are dirty and what remittance companies are headed by crooks!  Get these yahoos out of the shadows once and for all!

Direct sales of the Central Bank of Iraq from foreign currency during the auction on Thursday, to about 153.18 million dollars, compared to 154.6 million dollars on Wednesday auction , down 1.42 million dollars, according to a statement of the bank .

The Central Bank said in its statement that the exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 40 banks and 8 companies for financial transfer .

The bank said that sales are the result of the auction scheduled for next Sunday, corresponding to 28 January, explaining that the total sales for the day amounted to about 189.98 million dollars .

Amounts sold to strengthen bank balances abroad were about $ 152.1 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 1.08 million .

The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price .
