"The Central Bank has been granted the membership of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (IOFI)," said Aseer Jabbar, director of the bank's information office, in a statement received by Mawazine News.

Baghdad -  The Central Bank of Iraq (CBE) on Monday appointed a member of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (IOFI).  In a statement received by Alsumaria News, the bank said it had obtained the membership of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (IOFI), noting that "the membership it received will bring it together with a group of Islamic banks and financial institutions and regulatory and supervisory authorities on banks and markets. Finance, insurance and finance in a group of countries and within the category of "supervisory and supervisory bodies".     "The membership will make the bank enjoy all the rights and duties in the body to serve the professional and technical relations that reflect positively on the work of Islamic banking in Iraq ."  The IAOIFI is the main body responsible for setting Islamic accounting standards, Shari'a standards, standards of governance and professional ethics for the external auditor. The standards of the Authority in a number of countries are either mandatory or optional by Islamic financial institutions.

On Monday, the Central Bank of Iraq (CBE) organized the membership of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (IOOF).
