The world index was flat, just below record highs. It has gained 2.5% in the first five trading sessions of the year, its best start since 2010, according to Thomson Reuters data.

The US dollar partly recovered on Monday after a weak start to the year, strengthening past $1.20 against the euro, although with bearish positions against the greenback high, many traders are betting on a stronger single currency.

Against a basket of currencies the dollar was up 0.31% but close to its weakest level since September.

Eurozone blue chip stocks were up 0.23%, with France’s CAC 40 ahead by 0.3% and Germany’s DAX by 0.31%.

In US markets, Wall Street’s best start to a year in more than a decade included the Dow rising 2.3% last week and the S&P 500 2.6%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq soared 3.4%.

They are telling us they have a system that is avoid of complexity issues, which appears to be the diminishing use of cash in Public and Private transactions and apparently large transactions to boot.

I once heard, possibly just rumor, that the major world banking institutions take off all of August for summer vacation and mid November to mid January for the holidays, to close out the year end books, and to get things kicked off for the new year.

 

All this news seems to look favorable for this month for the IQD revalue. I am pondering the timing of the Kuwaiti Conference to be held mid February. There is likely very lucrative investment opportunities in Iraq as is. However, I suspect a revalued IQD before the Kuwaiti Conference would make for a whole lot more and bigger eager beaver investors to get the reconstruction and economic development underway as soon as possible.

 

All the news seems to be indicating restored international relations with a pre Saddam era type Iraq with a new and different leadership and government. Just need to revalue the currency.

 

Hey, if commercial international flights are flying all over Iraq now and not acting like terrorist surface to air missile magnets, I suspect the investment environment on the ground is pretty stable, too, and should pull in large and massive quantities of investor magnates!

 

              

 

Just one man's opinion but I think this IQD revalue could happen any time especially if a breakthrough constitutionally framed agreement with the "Northern Iraqi Governorates" is reached and announced that likely includes the HCL and Article 140.

Much Appreciated Thugs,  this sounds like Iraq walking towards the front door to go full blown International, there still things that need to be in place I believe HCL is one of the most important not the HCA, stopping the Auction and getting a better handle on some of these top government officials in corruption this wouldn't take long to do, it's does seem that Kuwait plays a big part in this, this is only my opinion.

The HCL At least on the face of it does not appear to be beneficial to the corrupt politicians to want to put forth the necessary effort, as they can't get a deep enough cut of " their pound of flesh " to fatten their already bloated bank accounts.
