Scoutdad:  Bank Experience at Wells Fargo Arizona. Asked head teller about foriegn currency then specifically Dinar. He said (and I quote), "oh ya, we are just waiting for it to revalue. We have a lot of customers waiting." I asked if he had Dinar and he said he did.
I asked if he could see the new rates on the back screens and he said he could. I asked again! So you are just waiting for approval to bring rates forward? He said, yes. Dong is the only one they are activly selling.
Dong Sell rate: .00005 and Dong buy rate: .0000399. They are acknowledging it now when they have said it is a scam in the past at the same bank!!!

12-28-2017  Newshound Guru Mnt Goat  ...According to my source in the CBI, the CBI released the new polymer notes these past few days and along with it re-instated the currency. They are doing this via the ATM machines. As I said to everyone this would probably happen first in Iraq and we would not yet see it on FOREX. However, they can’t wait to long for FOREX since exchanging thru the ATM in a foreign country relies on FOREX thru the banks to get the new rate to convert the dinar to whatever currency of that international country. So I still do not believe anyone is using these cards outside of Iraq right now...

....and 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. But interesting that I have had a WF account for 20 years, so I called them and they said they will only carry foreign currencies as listed on their website, and IQD is not one of them.

I called that number just out of curiosity.

Instead of an exchange appointment...a salesman on the other end wanted to sell me a burial policy & cemetery plot.

I declined...he responded back... "stay thirsty...my friend"

Bottom line  ,IQD could not revalue until Isis was gone . Of coarse ,Obama left a mess behind then he withdrew too early to keep his campaign promised ,to withdraw troops ,etc. from Iraq . Also ,we never should have disbanded the Iraqi army ,leaving people without a source of income ,and leaving borders unsecured . Guess what happened next ? Isis comes in ,paying very well ,  providiing crack and some  temporary safety for their families .,These are two factors that have made this a 14 year investment

I asked my W.F head teller about the dinar and out to dinner. She said yes,what's the dinar! So I told her and she said where are we going. I said I know a little place in Bagdad with good baukla. She said let's just go to olive garden ( McDonald's of Italian food. What a good day ! Happy new year  to all.

I don't remember the Br Mgr ever acting this way before in 14 years. He knows what I hold and he knows his own tellers own some too...VERY Interesting….. I wish there was a better word than Awesome but I got to tell you, it was sure a different reception than I have ever received from any Banker in my life.

KeithN:  Yes this happened mid afternoon today.
