Iraq hopes that the international community will meet its "victory" over the extremist "Da'ash" organization, with a huge financial contribution that rebuilds what has been destroyed by the three-year war, amounting to about $ 88 billion.

The Amir said his country was aware of "the extent of the destruction caused to Iraq by the control of these terrorist organizations on some Iraqi territory." He considered that reconstruction "an action that Iraq will not be able to address alone, which led us to appeal to the international community by inviting him to participate in this work and bear the consequences."

The morning that "there is great support from the United Nations,  the European Union and the World Bank to contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq," pointing out that "our conference will play an active role for the reconstruction of Iraq and a secure future for the region."

Kuwait Conference for Iraq support

15/2/2018 12:00 am

Jamal Shaker al-Rubaie is
a global step to open up to Iraq, especially after the end of the page of terrorism, which has weighed the Iraqi budget, except for the clean blood that has been shed and Iraq's losses in infrastructure beyond the size of the country's potential to bear the costs of reconstruction. Therefore, the countries of the world must share with us the burden of confronting terrorism, which is a threat to all, especially as we suffer from a decline in oil prices, which is Iraq's economic artery because the cost of confronting terrorism has exhausted the economy.
We have been aware that the battle has negative aspects that cast a shadow over the various sectors. But the confrontation was inevitable and the country alone has borne the heavy costs of the war against terrorism over the past years, not only fighting for its territory, but also because terrorism threatens the security and safety of most
 countries.
So it was fair to meet countries from different parts of the earth to be with Iraq financially and humanely with civil organizations and companies and businessmen to be in this supportive position and positive openness to dismantle the isolation that we faced in
 previous years
This conference, sponsored by the sisterly State of Kuwait, is a ray of hope in arranging the economic situation and exploiting the huge number of donors, donors and participants from countries to rebuild
 Iraq.
But the question we have to ask ourselves: Was the Iraqi delegation at the level of this gathering? Did he prepare plans and priorities in his agenda, which he reviewed before this gathering to gain the trust of the participating countries and give credibility to his orientation? Has the Iraqi delegation prepared its papers in a way that makes these countries take support seriously?
So we offer a program to convince donor countries that we are determined and planned and planned in how to invest those donations or grants through projects with humanitarian support or financial support, despite the fear of wasting these funds and the loss of
corruption. But some countries may implement projects on their own, and we have to welcome and support them and prove them to our good intentions, and to prevent the exploitation of the funds provided by .. It is important to attract everyone and accept the various forms of support and both as he sees fit .. Important to pick the fruit in order to maintain Good intentions of those
 States.
Iraq is fertile ground for investment open doors for all The time has come for Iraq to be a center for attracting capital because the Iraqi market is the best markets in the region to invest and these steps will lead to move the market and the economy and find jobs.
The positive response should be framed by steps to facilitate and support investments and eliminate the disincentives to investment, including routine workshops that make the investor away from Iraq because of overlapping decisions and interests between
 ministries.
We must invest this historic opportunity to make our country a dream of money men, investments and companies to enter our markets, and provide them with an encouraging environment of facilitating procedures while providing security.
We hope that Iraq will be as responsible and hold this opportunity and change its image distorted by terrorism. We also hope that this conference will be a step towards security and stability, restoring life to the affected areas and supporting the economy by supporting industries and rehabilitating some of them. The best ..
Thank you to the State of Kuwait for hosting this global gathering and thank you to everyone who stood with us in this good gathering.

Hmmm, I've read this and other articles related to the $30B pledged at the Kuwait conference.

There seems to be some ''fuzzy" math going on 'cuz, I'm not seeing the total of the "pledges" or any other figures that add up to $30B.

It appears closer to $14-15B depending on the wording, translation and some smoke seen in the mirror.

I may not be the brightest bulb in the box thus, I've been proven wrong a time or two  but willing to admit it.

Help me out and show me the $30B:bagofmoney: from the Kuwait conference.

Semper Fi :salute:
