After getting into this investment around 2007 I've read countless articles over the years of country after country loaning (throwing) billions of currency at Iraq. 

 

It's absolutely staggering to me and simply cannot get my head around how much money the world has given to them. Does anyone have even a rough idea of how much money has been 

thrown into Iraq over the last 12 years? As in loans from every entity including forgiven debt?

Egypt announces economic agreements with Iraq

The Egyptian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Sunday the existence of various economic agreements with Iraq.
“There are agreements to participate in joint projects for the reconstruction of Iraq through the construction of roads and power stations, water and sanitation,” Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Tariq Qabeel said in remarks published by the Al-Ahram newspaper.
“These agreements also include housing, health and agricultural projects,” he said.
It is noteworthy that Kuwait has hosted earlier the donors conference for the reconstruction of Iraq, with the participation of various Arab and foreign countries.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi received a high-level delegation from the World Bank this morning, during which he stressed the excellent cooperation between the World Bank and the Iraqi government and its support for its reform and development programs. 

Abadi expressed his appreciation for the confidence of the World Bank in the Iraqi government and welcomed the high-level delegation that is visiting Iraq in light of the transition from a break to the reconstruction of liberated areas and all provinces.

For his part, World Bank Vice President Ghanem Hafez expressed his pride in partnership with Iraq, stressing the confidence of the World Bank and the international community in the Iraqi government and admiration for its economic policies that will lead to further economic growth.

He pointed out that the World Bank aims to work with the Iraqi government to achieve reconstruction and increase growth in all governorates of Iraq and provide thousands of job opportunities for young people.
