Totally agree my friend, Iraq is moving forward in all fronts.

I have been thinking about IMF SBA 2016-2019. In your opinion do you think we have to wait till the end of SBA in 2019 for an increase

of the dinar exchange rate?

Thanks for the post newbieDA.

Honestly, I don't know. I tried to understand as much as could back a couple years ago but the IMF was confusing to me.

Laid Back, isn't Iraq real close to moving Article VIII? I am starting to think so.

I heard all they have to is maintain a 2% difference between CBI and Street rate for 90 days and compensate Kuwait for the war. Seems like they have done that, well are able too complete it now at least.

Whats you thought?

Anyone want to chime in, chime in please.

NewbieDA,

I have been thinking about that since I saw the article talking about the 2% different between the CBI and the black market or street rate, and I believe that Article VIII and UN remaining sanctions are going to be settle in the near future.

Go CBI

Go new monetary

Go RV

Kuwait yesterday asked the United Nations Compensation Commission to grant Iraq a grace period to review options proposed by Baghdad to pay the remaining $4.6 billion in Gulf War compensation.

“Kuwait is determined to reach an agreement with the Iraqi Government on the payment of the remaining compensation amounts of $4.6 billion,” Khaled Al-Mudhaf, commission chairman and Kuwait representative, said during the organisation’s 83rd session.

The parties agreed in 2016 to extend the payment deadline until 2018.
