The political community in Baghdad has agreed that the United Nations, which has the largest political mission in Iraq since 2003, has not played an active role in dealing with the crises and difficult files that have gone through the Iraqi situation for 14 years.
Despite the large presence of the United Nations institutions, which reaches up to 21 institutions inside Iraq, its role did not grow to the size of this presence, where successive Iraqi governments since 2004 until now, the absence of the role of the United Nations six key files aggravated the situation in Iraq.

Shorten the clear
Iraqi situation dramatically suffered displaced and displaced crisis during the war on terror and operations of Iraqi forces to restore cities occupied by the organization Daesh in the north and west of Baghdad since June 2014, and the number of displaced Iraqis from the three main provinces of Nineveh and Salahuddin in the north and Anbar nearly 5 million Displaced. He accused the MP in the Committee on the Displacement of the Iraqi parliament, Ahmad Al-Attiyah, the United Nations to fail in dealing with the file of displaced and displaced, wondering about the fate of nearly two billion dollars allocated by the donor countries to Iraq to address the crisis, which is not known so far.

Fear of Collision
The leader of a united coalition, Abdul Qahir al-Samarrai, told al-Watan that the United Nations has deliberately ignored human rights files relating to abuses by Iraqi government authorities in the cities of north and west Baghdad. "We have filed dozens of files on violations related to the abduction of between 6 to 7 thousand Iraqis by militias outlawed to the United Nations Mission in Iraq, but to no avail."

The international organization has
criticized sources in the Iraqi government of the United Nations' reluctance to organize an international conference to help reconstruct the cities that were badly damaged during the war on a sympathetic organization. These sources said that Iraq needs $ 11 billion in the early stages of reconstruction, and to date we have not heard any movement in this area.
MP Hamed al-Mutlaq said that the role of the United Nations is not effective in the reconstruction file, and we are convinced that we do not rely on the international organization to provide funds for the reconstruction of destroyed cities.

Political situations
MP in the Iraqi parliament Renas Jano strongly criticized the United Nations for not being able to play a small role in preventing political crises in Iraq or work to resolve, referring to the periods of formation of Iraqi governments in 2006, 2010 and 2014, in which the United Nations is absent In any effort to form Iraqi national governments instead of sectarian governments and leave it all to regional players, especially the Iranian regime.

Avoidance of crisis intervention
MP Jano said that the United Nations in many cases avoid interference in resolving political crises for fear of collisions with influential countries in Iraq such as Iran, and therefore the representative of the Secretary-General of the International Organization in Baghdad Kubich did not for example played no role and did not see during the crisis that Broke out between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region and formed a political and security challenge for the country.

Lack of confidence
Iraqi analysts and observers have accused the role of the United Nations of being weak and biased towards certain political parties in Iraq. Political researcher Juma al-Khazali told al-Watan that many Iraqi forces no longer trust the role of the United Nations in all cases. "In the human rights file we did not see the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Baghdad any positions on this matter, and the international organization did not try to ask the Iraqi authorities to engage in investigations of kidnappings, killing or enforced concealment, also in the file against corruption , The agreement of the Baghdad government with the United Nations in this file has not been at all to detect the files of corruption is important and pivotal in Iraq.

The restoration of other towns of Kirkuk , Kurds ,
Iraqi forces recovered yesterday, the control of the last towns controlled by the Kurds in Kirkuk province, while military sources reported that Iraqi forces entered the hand ALTON bridge , 35 km northwest of Kirkuk , on the road between the city and Arbil , the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan after Clashes with various weapons between the Iraqi forces and the Kurdish Peshmerga.
The armed clashes broke out yesterday evening, between demonstrators and Kurdish militants and Iraqi forces in Kirkuk, killing two people from the attackers, and another from the fight against terrorism, in addition to other injuries. On the other hand, sources said that armed Kurds in the neighborhood of Shurijah in Kirkuk fired on the militias of the popular crowd and the federal police, in addition to the bombing of a military armored Hummer type of militia of the popular crowd.

This may be an indirect silver lining to this article on the failed UN practices in Iraq. Apparently, Qasem Soleimani was not supposed to operate outside Iran so I am not sure if that statement is directed toward the IMIS and/or IRGC. Hope so. That will gain more needed traction as disputed areas are retaken from Kurdistan and the ISIS eradication becomes complete. The Iranian entanglement may have been to great and problematic to remove earlier. Potentially, conditions are more favorable now for expelling the Iranian elements from Iraq. My opinion is there will be heightened and forceful activities to this end both internal and external to Iraq. This will likely greatly reduce the sectarian conflicts and make for a stronger and foreign investment worthy Iraq.

Agreed! Abadi’s strength is his ability to look at his country through a macro scope to see all of the problems. Then allow problems such as Barzani bankrupting his region and let him dig his own grave, acting at the appropriate time in an effective manner. Then going after ISIS with a vengeance, incorporating all the help he could muster, then on to rebuilding the country as whole, under one flag! I have to agree with you that the Iranian rogues are next on his radar! Iraq will be restored to its former glory, if he has anything to do with it! All Iraqis will have a pride in their government they didn’t know was possible. We will take our profits and drop of the radar one day, but I do do hope that when the day comes that Abadi has to hand over the responsibility to the next person, Maliki is long gone with all of his goons and sidekicks. Pretty sure that once people realize he is not a threat anymore.... he will be stoned to death in a random field and the local authorities will deem it an accident! :D

Abadi amazes me . I only saw one article involving him before the Prime Minister position back when he was in the Ministry of Finance . Other than that he was well hidden and kept away from the internal wars and corruption. Historians speak of how Saddam wanted to be like Saladin  who was a leader who fought victoriously against the British throne centuries ago . As its turning out it looks like Abadi will be that leader .Truly amazing all that he is accomplishing at this time in history .....................................................:pirateship:
