WASHINGTON (AFP)

US Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yelen met US President Donald Trump at the White House yesterday, promising to make a decision soon on a candidate to head the central bank next year.

She became the first woman to head the Federal Reserve Council in 2014, and her term expires on Feb. 3.
