Parliamentary power: Kurds did not provide a convincing justification for non-commitment to pay oil money

Recommended Posts

I may be WAY off with this thought, but what if Iraq actually wants this to happen so they can RV their currency leaving the Kurd's without the joy of even having a piece of that pie. Often times people say they want something to happen when in actuality its more of a mental trick to get the other person to do the exact opposite. I know might be way off but... Who knows.

I hope so Synopsis! A lot of blustering from both sides maybe drawing to a close?  :pirateship:

:twothumbs: BoosterBGlee! I suspect this is the case. Who knows what is really going on behind the scenes? This may be some act Iraq is putting on with the false flyer of the Kurdish referendum to get something out of everybody. I am hoping it includes something like Nouri al-Maliki getting eliminated from the action and, of course, the elusive RV button getting pushed. Outsiders may (I say may) see the IQD weaker with Kurdistan spun off and Iraq is wanting to get the highest possible IQD value.

So, we wait and see.

Abadi has already threatened a law suit against the Kurds for their lack of attention to the Agreement. They have been shipping all of their oil, as well as the article 140 territories oil through Turkey since 2013. I find it entertaining that Turkey is now freaking out too! They weren't trying to help a neighbor, but trying to make some chump change off of the deal. Now their good neighbor policy has blown up in their face too! Serves them right also!!!

Its true but on what basis? KRG can sell their oil due their claim that there is no HCL binding them. So?

Special - Mawazine News

Mawazine News / learned from high sources, Monday, that a large number of citizens of the Kurdistan region voted "no" to the referendum, while confirmed the participation of a small proportion of citizens to the referendum.

The social networking sites addressed a series of photographs showing "the vote of a large group of citizens of the Kurdistan region who reject separation from the central government (no) in the referendum of the Kurdistan region."

The source, who preferred not to be named, that "a small proportion of the population of the province of Sulaymaniyah and Kirkuk participated in the referendum and part of them voted without a referendum."

And boycotted the head of the change bloc, Sarwa Abdel Wahid, today, the referendum of Kurdistan not to recognize the legitimacy of the President of the region Massoud Barzani, also indicated that it can not turn a blind eye to corruption and stealing oil revenues.

The official Iraqi television reported on Monday (25 September, 2017) that the percentage of participants in the referendum of the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Kirkuk is very weak.

It is noteworthy that a well-informed source in the province of Kirkuk revealed on Sunday (September 24, 2017) the displacement of a number of residents of the province ahead of the referendum in the province for fear of worsening events in the province, while stressing that the rate of movement of natural citizens in the areas do not exceed 20% 29

Spider, who they gonna sell it to? Abadi will have sanctions against them. Maybe North Korea will buy it. How they gonna get it to North Korea? All the pipe lines out of Kurdistan will be stopped. You are correct, no need for HCL..

It is strange Pokerplayer . The Barzani''s have homes or a home purchased here in the USand they are Rich  . Things don't work out they have someplace to go unlike the rest of the Kurds . Speaking of the Kurds . With Baghdad they have been offered oil shares when everything is settled . What has the Barzani's promised them as far as oil sharing that would persuade them to vote yes ?

Hopefully so but it depend on Turkey whether they want to do it or not.... There are rumor that someone buy Isis oil during they controlling Mosul via certain border. Kurdistan still can sell oil way below market price like Isis did last time... That's why Iraq need HCL to convince international to impose embargo to KRG. The law function not just to rv the iqd. It serve more than that. Without it, even Isis can sell Iraq oil to anybody. That what happened last time.
