Announced the MP for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Rizan Sheikh Delir, on Friday, that the Kurdish MPs will attend the next parliament session, stressing the need to maintain the link between the region and the center "through dialogues closely." 

"The Kurdish deputies will attend the next parliament session to discuss the laws and the agenda of the session within the parliament and vote on them," she said in an interview with Alsumaria News. "They are representatives of the people and must take their role in decisions and laws."

 


"The link between the region and the center will not be interrupted and must be sustained through close dialogues away from the rhetoric of the media," she said, asking the government parties in the center and the region to "calm and debate in accordance with the interest of the Iraqi people and reach a conclusion on the referendum, which is a right of the Kurds Self-determination ". 

The MP for a coalition of state law, Siham al-Moussawi called on Wednesday, the government to take action against Kurdish officials who participated in the referendum, noting that the parliament will have a similar procedure with the Kurdish deputies, while it felt that there is no point of "being with us." 

On Monday (September 25, 2017), Iraq's response went to the polls to vote on a referendum on the secession of the Kurdistan region As the independent state of Iraq, despite the rejection of Baghdad and regional countries and the international community, as well as Kurdish parties calculated for the risks resulting from this step, while the House voted in its session held on the same day in the absence of Kurdish deputies on a resolution contained 14 articles in response to the referendum of Kurdistan.

Well lookyyyy here, the Kurds want to come back an be a part of this terrible Abadi regime an parliament....aren't they afraid masta Barzani will get mad an have them removed. It appears Talabani has seen the writing on the wall an wants his folks to come back into the fold. I'm not sure how Barzani will get through this without looking like a complete idiot an a incompetent leader but the Kurds have to hold elections an rid themselves of these crooks...

I find it interesting the referendum comes on the heels of the increase in Oil $$$ - Perhaps there's been a lot more manipulation of events & peoples opinions than we initially recognized.

 

I'll be the first to admit that as the days have gone ( my previous days remarks were based more on disgust & less on critical analysis ) - I'm smelling something very FISHY in the Global Economic & Financial Soup.

Lawmaker Abdul Salam al-Maliki announced on Sunday new punitive measures to be issued against officials who took part in and supported the secession of Kurdistan. 
"The parliamentary committees are preparing important measures, each according to its competence, against the referendum on the secession of Kurdistan," he said, adding that "these measures will be submitted to the Presidency of Parliament and will be voted on during the meeting next Tuesday."

He added that "the measures will be complementary to what was voted by the parliament in its last meeting in response to the referendum of Kurdistan." 
"The new measures will involve government officials and Kurdish deputies who participated and supported the referendum on secession," Maliki said. 
He pointed out that "the return of the Kurds are welcome, not all of them support the referendum, but most of the blocks reject the project, including the National Union and change and the Islamic Group, except for some of them, who are mainly in the bag Massoud Barzani."
