Some things interesting to me in this article: Iraq is chairing the, "the biggest challenges for any Member States, as the Committee is one of the most important and most controversial committees" That addresses, "the attention of a large number of files are sensitive to the Member States of the United Nations, Nuclear capabilities and high armaments, which the Member States of the United Nations seek to reduce those capabilities and the increase in the increase of weapons because of its impact on international peace and security and the sustainability of life and the global environment in addition to other areas related to the " Major Step. Important achievement. Iraqi diplomacy (wuz up with THIS???!!!). Iraq chairing an important committee at the UN (hmmmmmmmm...............another "wuz up with THIS???!!!) Disarmament affairs (of all things). Why in the world would this country that would seem to be unstable and insecure yet be noted as taken a major step with an important achievement of "Iraqi Diplomacy"???!!! Looks like there are some major long term plans for Iraq that Iraq will have a significant role. Why in the world would a country like Iraq, with a notable status as one of the most corrupt countries in the world, be entrusted with a large number of sensitive files to the Member States of the United Nations pertaining to Nuclear Capabilities and High Armaments???!!! This could appear like the fox running the hen house here. What could Iraq do with this information if left to Iraq's pursuits and devices? Another military Super Power in the Middle East? Likely not. But why put an Iraqi representative here in this committee now considering the domestic issues facing Iraq with the remaining ISIS, Iranian presence in Iraq (i.e IMIS, IRGC, etc.), and things like closed economy with a program rate currency? Maybe the "Disarmament Affairs" is something like a tool being used to disarm the Iranian militias like the IRGC and IMIS in Iraq and address the Iranian Nuclear issue. Just thinking out loud here. This may be something to watch for the recommendations this committee may produce and what actions taken by the UN Security Council especially in reference to Iran and, possibly, North Korea.
