British Defense Secretary arrived in the capital Baghdad this morning.

Sources said that Fallon will discuss the developments of the war on the preacher and the crisis of the referendum in the Kurdistan region. The British embassy in Baghdad said in a statement that Fallon "will assure the Iraqi officials of his country's continued support to Iraq in its war against Daash in addition to the political developments in Iraq and discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries."

Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji discussed with British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon, who arrived in Baghdad this morning, efforts to combat terrorism.

"The two sides discussed a number of security and military issues of common interest and means of enhancing them in the interests of achieving security and stability and combating terrorism," a statement from the interior ministry's office said. "The importance of continued cooperation and logistical support for Iraq in its war, while at the same time praising the efforts of friends in this regard," Araji said during the meeting. For his part, praised the British Defense Minister on the efforts of Iraqi forces and their pivotal role in the fight against terrorism, stressing the continued support of his country to Iraq at various levels.
