mr.unlikely
It looks like Talabani forced everyone in the Kurdish parliament to choose a side. The problem with these bozos is they are too impatient. Rather than wait til the time is right and then serve the dish that is best served cold, these guys would rather throw shoes at each other while the meeting is still in session. These guys don't know what real corruption is they are just a bunch of dishonorable thieves.

yota691
First Published: 2017-10-18 No presidential and parliamentary elections in Kurdistan The Electoral Commission attributed its decision to the lack of any candidate for the post and the repercussions of the situation after the restoration of Baghdad's sovereignty over Kirkuk. Middle East Online Erbil pays for Barzani's adventure Arbil, Iraq - The Electoral Commission of Iraqi Kurdistan announced in a statement Wednesday the suspension of presidential and parliamentary elections for the region because of the lack of candidates and the repercussions of the situation after the restoration of the central government in Baghdad to disputed areas, including oil fields. "The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) decided to suspend the preparations for the elections scheduled for November 1, 2017 temporarily because of the repercussions of the current situation," the statement said, after government forces restored disputed areas between Baghdad and Erbil. "The postponement of the session of the parliament of the region indefinitely" for the lack of agreement between the two main parties in the region on the date of the elections. He explained that "the reason for the delay is to demand that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan to extend the mandate of the parliament for a period of two years and demanded an extension of eight months," during which the end of preparations for the elections. The postponement of the provincial elections coincided with an unspecified delay as government forces in a swift and surprising security crackdown restored disputed areas, including the oil-rich province of Kirkuk, which was seized by the Kurdish Peshmerga forces following the attacks of the Islamic state in June 2014. Massoud Barzani, the outgoing president of the region since 2005, has previously declared his intention to re-run for the presidential elections. The deadline for announcing the candidacy for the presidency of the province has expired without any candidate running for office under a heavy legacy of problems created by the Barzani administration of Kurdistan and in the light of the secession referendum adventure that has created deep divisions in the relationship with Baghdad and neighboring countries. All these developments have shattered the chances of any person running for office because of a sense of inability to solve various problems. Barzani leaves his post, leaving behind internal crises in the region, most notably a severe financial crisis with which the provincial government was unable to pay salaries of public sector employees and affiliated with the Peshmerga forces. The region is also facing political turmoil because of differences between the two main parties: the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Barzani and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, led by the late Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. No intention of war In another development announced the official foreign relations in the Kurdistan Regional Government Falah Mustafa that there is no intention of the region to enter a war with the Iraqi army against the backdrop of the recent events in Kirkuk. He called for dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad to resolve the escalating crisis since the referendum on secession, expressed in an interview with CNN, the US regretted the actions taken by the Iraqi central government to the region following the referendum on secession. He also accused Baghdad of rejecting dialogue with Erbil and that the Kurds' message was peaceful and related mainly to the right of Kurdistan to self-determination. He stressed the need to find a common solution to the current crisis, recalling that the Kurds and the Iraqi army were fighting a war on terrorism side by side, saying that "it is not about oil wells and not about science, but the future of two nations and therefore we need dialogue." In the context of current events, sources confirmed that the Iraqi forces stripped of the forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in the province of Kirkuk. She pointed out that many Kurdish families and the Asayish forces fled from Kirkuk to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. Earlier, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Kosrat Rasul leaders described as "deviant" in his party in collusion with the Iraqi army and the popular crowd in the process of entering Kirkuk.
