Customs Duty is a tariff or tax imposed on goods when transported across international borders. The purpose of Customs Duty is to protect each country's economy, residents, jobs, environment, etc., by controlling the flow of goods, especially restrictive and prohibited goods, into and out of the country.

Iraq is following the IMF guidelines.

Diversifying the Economy

Just imagine the amount of money Iraq will collect in tariffs when they open to the international market with an international recognize currency.

Go $1:1

Ohhh yea brother Laid Back, I'm following your train of thought. Iraq is on the road to prosperity and the ground work is being put into place. Opportunity is knocking and everyone wants a piece of the action, 1:1 works fine with me :cigar:

As Breitling has commented many times over the years. In the old days at $27 per barrel and a one export economy "Oil" The IQD was valued at $3+

Today the IQD is $0.01 or 1/10 of a penny and Iraq is STILL a one export economy!

The value of the IQD is forced down by flooding the USD into Iraq's economy "it makes no sense at all to stay there any longer"

I would agree with Breitling too!
