South Korean electronics maker LG Electronics has reportedly opened its largest overseas brand shop in Iraq.

Thank You, Wiljor, for posting this and all the other great articles! The Best Of Your Weekend To You!!! :twothumbs:

So, OK, LG opened its largest overseas brand shop in Iraq. And Erbil of all places. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....................................................only to wait for business to arrive weeks, months, or years down the road???!!! I don't think so. And why would Iraqis need electronics anyway especially without reliable electricity to charge/power those electronics???!!! New "purchasing power" for the Kurds like in an HCL???!!! OK, maybe a wee bit optimistic here but something appears to be going on beyond just opening an electronics store in some Stone Age/Third Whirled (OK, World) Country.

I could almost bet those 200 gubmint and media officials attending the opening ceremony were given some "party favors" (i.e. handy electronics) just for showing up!!!

:o   :o   :o

870 square meters is about 28,100 square feet and about 2/3rds of an acre. That is a huge floor???!!! I wonder if they had to build an adjoining parking garage for the Iraqi citizens to park their cars they just purchased with the fairly recent available bank loans???!!! I can hear the vacuum cleaner now sucking up all the CHUNKAE' MONAE'???!!! Woo Hoo!!!

YEAH, BABY...............................

Go Moola Nova!

Absolutely, Chuck.

Rasheed: "So, how much for the stainless steel smart kitchen refrigerator, microwave, stove combo??"

Salesman: "X,XXX,XXX dinar."

Rasheed: "I'll be right back....with the other arm load".
