Maliki's trial is an inevitable necessity that must happen one day

017-08-18

According to some sites and social networking pages, we looked at an indictment against Nuri al-Maliki by the judge and former head of the Integrity Commission Abdul Rahim al-Ukaili. The list included a large number of charges, most of which were not all will have legal support within the articles and paragraphs and clauses of the law Iraq's penal sanctions in force and the validity of the content so far.

Despite the fact that the accusations of these regulations appear to be mostly political in nature, which makes them a bit shaky and fragmented in a forest of long and wide charges, they inevitably need to review and refinement and refinement and brevity and intensification in order to reduce the political nature of the sharp not to confuse the judiciary and This is due to the nature and location of the functional responsibility, especially the sovereign function, which has special clauses and paragraphs in this regard, which are included in the book of the current penal code of the Iraqi Penal Code , Which could be the basis and ground legally appropriate to try al-Maliki and convicted and punished as a judge.

Therefore, the more concise, reduced and intensifying the indictment is more specific and focused, the more convictions are clear, the more mature and easier, and you seek to reach a decisive and decisive conviction is not affected by the slightest legal doubt, especially focus on the most Maliki's political, security and economic crimes of

Such as: the violation of the constitutional oath to protect the interests of Iraq and territorial integrity and sovereignty and violation of this section deliberately in order to consolidate its individual authority.

Exploitation of power and governance to bring his relatives closer to the sources of power and public money for the purpose of rapid enrichment.

Neglect of duty and failure to take responsibility in the administration of state and government ...

Robbing and looting hundreds of billions of dollars of public money by colluding corruption and its knights of corrupt and influential politicians and party leaders. And bargaining with them by turning a blind eye to their corruption and looting of the world's money, with the aim of clinging to the throne of power for a longer period and more.

The betrayal of the responsibility of the job through the concealment of serious security information in terms of the occurrence of terrorist operations endangering the safety and security of citizens at risk through the collusion with representatives of terrorist forces and bargaining with them (such as Deputy Daashi Abdullah Nasser al-Jubouri and Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi before taking office Take the remarks of al-Maliki himself in this regard, which will be reconciled as irrefutable evidence of doubt, and if Tarek al-Hashemi is innocent of the charge of terrorism, al-Maliki may have been acquitted of a false charge punishable by the Iraqi Penal Code), as well as collusion in the smuggling and smuggling operations Many times, and in a very suspicious manner, especially the "Hollywood" escape of my leaders calling from Abu Ghraib prison !! ..

To provoke sectarian strife through statements of a sectarian nature provoked by historical incidents that are mainly absent for such sectarian strife in order to intimidate the feelings of sectarian citizens, while the prime minister is supposed to be representative of all the news and components of the Iraqi people.

Failure or neglect of serious career also led to the fall of entire provinces in the hands of bandit gangs without a fluke.
Causing the fall of thousands of victims in the massacre of Baker and Badush and others because of the corruption of the military leadership and security of the army at the time, by virtue of Maliki's concession with them partisan and favoritism or other ..

Through my knowledge of the book of the law of penal sanctions, Iraq has found many paragraphs and items Some of which are perfectly valid, although they are a solid foundation for their adoption as unequivocal and decisive evidence against Nuri al-Maliki.
So the trial and conviction of Nuri al-Maliki is only a matter of intention and time.

Thanks DT...Excellent article...This type of exposure and public recognition of the extent of Maliki's criminal realms are methodically being revealed...A quick trile for Maliki would have benefited Maliki...The criminal court (s) should all have the opportunity to expose their cases and evidence against Maliki's rein of horror during his tyrant regimes...This way the citizens can realise the full score of Maliki's evil and greed against the very people  and country he was entrusted to uphold and protect....

After requesting ISIS trial, Iran, Maliki shall not go unpunished

Maliki, Iran should be tried for supporting ISIS
Maliki, Iran should be tried for supporting ISIS

Iraq asked for international help on Wednesday to collect and preserve evidence of crimes by ISIS terrorists and said it is working with Britain to draft a United Nations Security Council resolution to establish the investigation.

Experts asked Minister Haider al-Abadi to present a request to the UN to try supporters of ISIS and countries harboring ISIS' leaders such as Iran, which considered the godfather of the terrorist group.

They particularly demanded the trial of Mullah regime and former prime minister Nouri al-Maliki for the support they provided and still provide to ISIS in Iraq.

Mosul's fall three years ago has to be addressed and investigated, they added.

In 2015, an Iraqi parliamentary panel called for former prime minister Maliki and dozens of other top officials to stand trial over the fall of the of Mosul.

In June 2017, the parliamentary legal committee requested the attorney general to reopen the issue of Mosul's fall in ISIS' grip, a move that will lead to the trial of Iraqi officials, including  Maliki.

The 15-member Security Council could have established an inquiry into ISIS crimes without Iraq's consent, but Britain wanted Iraq's approval in a letter formally making the request. Iraq sent the letter on Monday.

The Iraqi government said in the letter that it was important to bring ISIS terrorists to justice in Iraqi courts.

Crimes committed by ISIS against civilians and destruction of infrastructures and archeological sites are crimes against humanity, Iraq's Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari wrote in the letter.

He noted that its perpetrators should be brought to justice.

"We request assistance of the international community to get benefited from international expertise to criminalize ISIS terrorist entity," Jaafari added.

"I hope that the Iraqi government's letter will mark the beginning of the end of impunity for genocide and other crimes that ISIS is committing in Iraq and around the world," international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney said in a statement.

"Yazidis and other ISIS victims want justice in a court of law, and they deserve nothing less," Clooney said.

Britain, Clooney and Nadia Murad, a woman from the Yazidi religious minority who was enslaved and raped by ISIS terrorists in Mosul, have been pushing Iraq to allow a UN inquiry.

Britain's mission to the United Nations said on Twitter that it was working with Iraq on a draft resolution. It was not immediately clear when it could be put to a vote in the council.

ISIS' self-proclaimed caliphate effectively collapsed last month, when US-backed Iraqi forces completed the recapture of Mosul, the terrorists' capital in northern Iraq, after a nine-month campaign.

Parts of Iraq and Syria remain under ISIS control, especially along the border.

UN experts said in June last year that ISIS was committing genocide against the Yazidis in Syria and Iraq to destroy them through killings, sexual slavery, and other crimes.

In addition to this, a monthly count released by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) revealed earlier this month that more than 500 Iraqis were killed and injured during July due to violence and armed conflicts.

However, observers said the investigation required is not enough because ISIS leaders vanished into thin air or fled via safe routes to Iran.

Trying non-influential ISIS terrorists while masterminds of the terrorist group are going unpunished is absurd, they added.

Corruption judges are probably waiting for ol Maliki to die from one of his various ailments or a car bomb. Then they don't have to look over their shoulders after they convict and hang him.

Too right - no judge wants to touch this case with a 10 foot Battle Lance !  Perhaps there is One Judge out there that will ( in full body armor ).

Maliki still spearheading rampant corruption, destruction in Iraq

Any hope of a unified Iraq enjoying stability and security has faded due to the corruption and sectarian polarization spreading in the country as one of the legacies of former prime minister Nouri al-Maliki.

During Maliki's eight-year term, ISIS seized large swathes of Iraq. Moreover, Iran's clout began to increase in the country, dominating military, economic and political sectors. Even after he was forced out of power, devastation and corruption are still rampant.

According to economic researcher Hedab Faleh al-Kubaisi, Maliki has established a state of economic ruin.

Recurrent setbacks

Hadeb said that during Maliki's eight years in power, Iraq has seen recurrent setbacks, making it go back 200 years in time.

In June, it was reported that Maliki allocated billions of dollars for buying weapons, but nothing was bought.

It also turned out that under Maliki, the government has bought some of these weapons at prices higher than they deserve.

Moreover, some of the weapons were worn out or used in WWII.

The widespread corruption has led to the Iraqi Army's defeat and fall of Mosul in ISIS grip in 2014.

Mosul's fall

What is surprising is that in just a matter of days ISIS has defeated Iraq’s US-trained security forces, which count more than 1 million personnel in their ranks and have received close to $100 billion in funding since 2006, in Mosul.

Analysts said that during Maliki's tenure, the security sector, which had an annual budget greater than the budgets for education, health, and the environment combined, was subject to minimal oversight.

They noted that soldiers were enrolled and paid monthly salaries without reporting for duty. Overpriced and faulty equipment was procured using the laxest standards.

Corruption and hunger for power distracted Maliki from emerging crises — like the rise of ISIS — and laid the groundwork for what is now taking place, they added.

Trial demands

As a result, many politicians have demanded Maliki's trial over Mosul's fall. In 2015, an Iraqi parliamentary panel called for the former prime minister and dozens of other top officials to stand trial over the fall of the city to ISIS three years ago.

In June 2017, the parliamentary legal committee requested the attorney general to reopen the issue of Mosul's fall in ISIS' grip, a move that will lead to the trial of Iraqi officials, including  Maliki.

In addition to this, Maliki has run a sectarian government during eight years in power that alienated Sunnis.

Sunnis look to Maliki’s period as their worst ever, during which they were hugely persecuted and suffered bloody crackdowns, observers said.

Observers noted that under Maliki, Iraq witnessed political decline culminating in Mosul's fall in ISIS' grip with the terrorist group occupying nearly third of the country's territories.

What is even worse is that Iraq also has seen an economic decline under the former prime minister, they added.

Image1_820172017139493445159.png

Corruption, siphoning off funds

Under Maliki, $500 bn of Iraq's public funds have been plundered and siphoned off, al-Kubaisi said.

She also noted that $10 bn has been spent on illusory projects.

Maliki has undermined the agricultural, industrial and trade sectors in Iraq, she added.
According to observers, as Maliki continues to cause devastation in Iraq, the only way to stop his satanic actions is to either arrest or expel him from the country.

As long as the former prime minister is in Iraq and exercised power behind the scenes, bloodshed, sectarianism and terrorist militias will remain in the country, they noted.

Maliki is not an individual, but he is a fully-fledged political institution, which its corruption is deeply rooted in all sectors of Iraq, they further stated.

Many analysts have raised these questions: Why was Maliki behind the deteriorating political, economic and security situation in Iraq? Why did he lead the destruction that was not even caused under the reign of Mongols and Persians in Iraq? Who is using Maliki as a puppet to divide the country?

However, many of answers remain unknown.

Yep, a couple good ideas here. A few other "solutions" come to mind.

Yep, pretty much sums it up!

Ya think???!!! Hopefully these miscreants are all on Kurshner's list of 785 and that is all of them! Maybe the anti-corruption machine will find 'em all, root 'em out, and shred 'em!

Yeah, right. I think they know the key culprits inside and outside Iraq.

Maybe Nouri al-Maliki aught to be taken into custody now before the lynch mob gets fully assembled with all the necessary "convicting" information and start taking their sandals off???!!!

This whole region runs on graft and corruption. Remember when the US army had Bin Laudin trapped in the mountains and for political reasons we let the Pakistan army close out the capture.

Quess what the officiers in charge were paid big time to let him escape. He was on the run for the

next ten years plotting murder against us. Only to be captured 1mile from a pakistan military base.
