(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The House of Representatives will continue to hold its meetings until Thursday of next week before raising them for Eid al-Adha holiday.
"The parliamentary sessions of the House of Representatives will continue until the next week until Thursday, 24 August," the parliament's deputy MP Niazi Maamar Oglu told AFP. 
He added that the meeting will be held next Thursday to the 12 of September next year on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. "

The House of Representatives held Thursday its regular session headed by its chairman Salim al-Jubouri and the attendance of 190 deputies.

A parliamentary source told Mawazine News that "the council held its 14th session of the first legislative term for the fourth legislative year under the chairmanship of its chairman Salim al-Jubouri and the presence of 190 deputies."

The source added that "the presidency of the parliament decided to continue the work of the meetings until Thursday of next week."

The meeting is scheduled to be attended by the Minister of Agriculture

"The number of deputies withdrew their signatures from the request to question Agriculture Minister Falah Zaidan," said Speaker Salim al-Jubouri during the session.

Jubouri said that "will be dealt with the questioning of the Minister of Agriculture as a new request for questioning and later set a new date for questioning."

 He pointed out that "the current request is null and void due to the withdrawal of some signatures from him and that the quorum that must be available in the old interrogation does not exist."
