The International Monetary Fund congratulates the Central Bank of Iraq

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) congratulated the Central Bank of Iraq, the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister's Office on the success of the second audit consultations related to the Credit Accreditation Agreement after implementing the programs and the financial and monetary targets and placing them in a framework that ensures the financial stability of Iraq and facing financial and security challenges.

The program included a set of reforms and objectives have been committed to the benefit of Iraq, and the latest supplementary budget approved by the House of Representatives in record time, which showed the keenness of the legislative and executive authorities on the plan and programs of reform.

The decision of the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund to ratify the report of the Fund team, which included the fulfillment of the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance and other parties to achieve the objectives and plans contained in the agreement will give an important signal waiting for international institutions and major countries to provide funding and facilities to support the financial situation in Iraq by supporting the financing of the state budget As well as a number of projects. The IMF's statement will lead to the third review, which will begin in September, to continue the program and the external support of Iraq.

The Budget still has appeals with the Federal Courts, Legislation need to be implemented for corruption issue, and budget sharing issue with the Kurds need to implemented, that just a few items on the too do list...the IMF review pretty much goes in detail what on the what next...and GM DV
