The Central Bank of Iraq announced on Wednesday that the dollar will be sold to pilgrims through licensed banks.

"Due to the proximity of the hajj pilgrimage to the Sacred House of Allah, the dollar will be sold to pilgrims at the official price, and the manfest for the pilgrims will be approved instead of the ticket," the director of the bank's press office, Acer Jabbar, said in a statement received by Mawazine News.

Jabbar added that "the sale will be through banks approved by the Central Bank of Iraq"
