If Maliki does get what he wants

Tell that to Sadr and the demonstrators that follow him ..Which is who I would bet the bank on...Maliki is just being kept around for the time being so more chaos is diverted, and the process of Democracy is instill. Taking Maliki out as some have stated in this forum with the term all it takes is one shot...is not Democracy

Yeah, May 26 is the first day of Ramadan this year. It is a month long holiday until June 25. Now do you get it? When they come back it will be a few odds and ends then right into the budget in August. If the important laws are not passed before they start hem hawing on the budget, then they won't get done.

Don't they usually work through Ramadan? I thought they only stopped for the feast days at the end ..?

I bet the Kurds are out by then.

Mr. Finley,

If so, definitely! But...

This has to be some of the miscommunication we were looking for and pretty good at that. There is WAY, WAY to much money contracted, invested and expected in an ROI from the PTB to go back into the stone age with Malarkey. It's just my opinion but it is coming to a head and the big guys in worlds monetary system are not going to go for, "We'll catch you next year...".

My :twocents:.

During Ramadan they "fast" from sun up to sun down. They eat like pigs when the sun goes down and essentially every night is a feast day for the more well off.

There is a much larger chance Malarki won't get elected again. This is evidenced by the people and the reception he has been receiving when visiting provinces and villages around the country. Notice he hasn't gone anywhere lately. Ever wonder why? Because the last place he visited was a fiasco for him. The crowds almost tore him a new bung hole. I prefaced my opinion with the if clause. This is not to say Malarki will be relected but then again Russia could hack the purple thumbs and give Malarki the election.

OMG, the 2018 budget... I sincerely hope I don't have to see another annual budget hammered out....

The first rounds will start negotiating between the Dawa Party and the Supreme Council for the presidency of the National Alliance on Saturday evening.
The mass of the citizen talking about the desire of most of the political blocs, including the two wings of the Dawa Party, the extension of the mandate of al - Hakim , another year.
After nearing his term in the rotating presidency of the National Alliance on completion, Hakim called on Shiite forces to search for a new compromise figure he served as president of the National Alliance.
And named Ammar al - Hakim, the beginning of last September, president of the National Alliance for one session for one year, replacing Ibrahim al - Jaafari , who took office since 2010.
Since the 2014 elections , tried a coalition of state law , the nomination of the leader of the Dawa Party , Ali al - Adeeb to head the National Alliance, but this endeavor ran into rejecting the Sadrists The Supreme Council , which saw their relations, then, great convergence after the overthrow of Maliki.
The resolution of this agreement, which was in the month of July, the controversy, and temporarily, between the Dawa and the Supreme Council of the party when they agreed that the chairmanship of the National Alliance patrol between them, bringing back the spirit again of the Shiite alliance , which has been disabled for long periods prior to this agreement. It commented MP from the coalition citizen Rahim Daraji, told the "term" yesterday, that there are significant differences between the Shiite forces , which he called "electoral lists , " adding that "these Shiite intersections reflected negatively on the work of the government and the state."
Darraji is wise to invite the leaders of the coalition to find a new character of his presidency as " a message that includes his willingness to get out of the presidency of the coalition."
It seems that the presidency of the coalition crisis is renewed once again among the Shiite forces, especially with the presence of al - Hakim is seen to call as an attempt seeks from behind to re - negotiations with the Dawa party to extend the period of rotating his mandate for another year.

He says Mayahi, in a statement to "long" yesterday, "does not have a written agreement between the National Alliance blocs on the issue of the presidency as much as it was agreed verbally to resolve this crisis in time , " asserting that "future periods need to organize classes and unify the visions and ideas between the forces Shiite. "
On the nomination of al - Maliki to succeed Hakim, Mayahi stressed that " the agreement stipulates that the party that gets the prime minister is not entitled to claim under the chairmanship of the National Alliance , " noting that "these things will be discussed in the National Alliance and decide on them."
The senior political sources revealed the "long", in the month of February, said that the "wise included, on another table of the meeting of the Political Commission, paragraph vote on the rotating presidency of the coalition, who faced the proposed rejection of a reservation by a coalition of state law and led to the withdrawn decisions of the meeting. "
And it confirms Deputy for a coalition of state law that "Nuri al - Maliki does not want to run to the presidency of the National Alliance," pointing out that " the rotating presidency coalition for a year I went to the Supreme Council, and the other to the rule of law , which will choose suitable for this site personal." MP says Messenger Abu Hasna, told the "term" yesterday that "Hakim is trying to get the mandate of the National Alliance for the extension of powers by demanding to find a replacement." He felt that " the topic is up to the National Alliance and the negotiations and discussions that will determine."
And it will end the current mandate of the wise in the fifth month of next September , according to the agreement between the Supreme Council and the Dawa Party , which will enter negotiations and talks to resolve the crisis. And confirms the leader of the Dawa Party , Salah Abdul Razak that "Mufadat will be launched on Saturday between the Supreme Council and the Dawa Party on the subject of a call Hakim to choose the head of the new alliance , " stressing that things are not clear for a coalition of state law. "Said Abdul Razak, in an interview for the " long "yesterday, "there are contacts between the party has invited the Supreme Council in order to clarify the demands of the wise." He continued , "there is in the mentality of Nuri al - Maliki or the idea of a coalition of state law to talk about the subject of the presidency of the fact that the alliance is still early."

Maliki said that the low level of cash reserves of hard currency to low levels portends of serious disasters in the short and long term; threatening Iraq of the bankrupt, and saddling with external debt , “noting that” there is a huge difference between the approved price in the local market and the adopted price in Central Bank , which allowed the spoilers and those behind them by depriving the government of tax and customs in addition to depriving the Iraqi citizen of the benefit of the real exchange rate. ”

The low level of cash reserves stem from Maliki looting them! This guy must be brought to Justice if Iraq wants any International credibility!
