The President of the Republic and his deputy Fuad Masum , Nuri al - Maliki, on Monday, on the need to reconsider the number of articles of the Constitution, as pointed out that it was emphasized the importance of investment victories by strengthening national unity and reconstruction of the liberated areas. 

Masum said , the Office said in a statement, seen by Roudao media network, he said that "President Fuad Masum , received today, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad , his deputy Nuri al - Maliki , " noting that it "discussed the victories achieved by our people against terrorist Daesh gangs." 

The statement added , "This calls for hard work on activating the principle of citizenship and respect for national competencies, on account of quotas, and the engine as a basis for the advancement of the country and the development of the political process to ensure a prosperous future united and strong Iraq." 

He pointed out that " the meeting stressed the need to reconsider the number of articles of the Constitution , " adding that " the time has come to this in order to strengthen the federal democratic system as a necessary step to cut off the road on the return of terrorist ideas and infidels." 

The office continued that "During the meeting , they discussed the political and security situation in the country, especially the great victories achieved by the armed forces to organize Daesh terrorist in the city of Mosul." 

 The statement stressed "the importance of investing these victories in strengthening national unity and the consolidation of stability and to begin reconstruction in all areas liberated from the control of terrorist groups." 

The Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi confirmed on Sunday that the victory in Mosul settled, noting that "Daesh" remnants are trapped in the last Alochaabar of Mosul.
