Ironically who ever burned those ballots was apparently trying to make sure neither Amiri or Maliki had any chance of winning. At the time Sadr was already sayingb Abadi would have to give up his affiliation with Maliki’s party to become prime Minister..... 😄

Masoum in a televised interview: These are the ones that caused a big stir about the credibility of the elections
[Ayna-Baghdad]
President Fuad Masoum accused the losers in the parliamentary elections on May 12 of stirring up a fuss about the credibility of the elections.
"Those who did not win the election are a big fuss about their credibility," he said in a televised interview.
"If the results of counting and manual counting appear identical or close to the previous results announced by the Electoral Commission, the charges against its members must be lifted and re-examined."
In June, the Supreme Judicial Council appointed nine judges to serve as the nine members of the Board of Commissioners, the highest authority in the Independent High Electoral Commission, after the parliament suspended their work on charges of "complicity" in alleged fraud and manipulation.
The Board of Commissioners of the judges assigned today announced the end of the manual counting and counting of all polling stations and stations on which complaints and appeals were received.
