Million widows in Iraq
{Baghdad: Euphrates News} revealed a member of the Committee on Women, Family and Children Parliamentary, Risan Sheikh Dler that the number of widows in Iraq had reached nearly a million widows as a result of wars and economic and social conditions.
Said Sheikh Dler in a statement the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it on the occasion of the International Day of widows, that "according to the results of food security survey , which was carried out by the Central Bureau of Statistics ( NBS ) in the Ministry of Planning during the year 2016 between the number of widows reached 878 thousand and 455 widows of whom 203 000 widow aged 14 to 49 years old and there are 675 thousand and 198 widow aged 50 years and older. " 
She noted that "those statistics did not include the provinces of Nineveh, Anbar and Kirkuk districts in Hawija and Baiji and SHIRQAT province in Salah al - Din province because of security conditions in it." 
She Dler "The security forces provided for the Liberation of Nineveh province during this period have doubled the number of widows , especially with the taking of terrorist Daesh approach to qualifying for the men 's physical breadwinners for the families of the gangs, which exacerbated the tragedy of women's social status and standard of living." 
And hinted Sheikh Dler to " the need to heed the state and its institutions to this figure is appalling in the number of widows, especially in the areas of conflict who Aann are struggling with poverty and deprivation in the displacement camps, not to mention the rest of the widows Almenthrat in all governorates of Iraq and who have not received so far , the most basic living and care rights by the authorities concerned ".anthy
