Hillarious Clinton still can't believe she was defeated by Donald Trump, and her Democratic Party is having trouble accepting the fact that it is still losing to the president and Republicans.

The latest evidence comes after this week's special House election in Georgia where GOP candidate Karen Handel survived against Democrat Jon Ossoff and a ton of outside cash from liberal and progressive groups to keep the Atlanta suburb district in Republican hands.

The night the lights went out in Georgia (for Democrats): Opinion

Democrats who were billing the special House election in Georgia as a "referendum on Donald Trump" are no doubt deeply disappointed that the Republican, the president's surrogate, won by a reasonably comfortable margin Tuesday night.

The New York Times captured some of the panic and angst under the headline "Democrats Seethe After Georgia Loss: 'Our Brand Is Worse Than Trump,'"

"Among Democrats in Washington, the setback in Georgia revived or deepened a host of existing grievances about the party, accentuating tensions between moderate lawmakers and liberal activists and prompting some Democrats to question the leadership and political strategy of Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader," the Times reports.

While many Democrats were optimistic that an anti-Trump wave would bring their party back into the majority, the Georgia loss Tuesday (June 20) and another on the same night in South Carolina extended the Republicans' victory streak in 2017 special elections to 4-0.

And some Democrats, including elected officials, saw Pelosi, a staunch liberal from San Francisco, as a bigger drag on their ticket than Trump was for the GOP.

"Representative Tim Ryan of Ohio, who tried to unseat Ms. Pelosi as House minority leader late last fall, said she remained a political millstone for Democrats," the Times story says. "But Mr. Ryan said the Democratic brand had also become 'toxic' in much of the country because voters saw Democrats as 'not being able to connect with the issues they care about.'

"'Our brand is worse than Trump,'" Ryan told the Times.

And Ryan wasn't even Pelosi's harshest critic.

"I think you'd have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top," Rep. Filemon Vela, D-Texas, told Politico in a story headlined "Pelosi faces growing doubts among Dems after Georgia loss." Vela, who supported Pelosi in her last leadership race, conceded that the House minority leader "is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons."

Rep. Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., who backed a challenge to Pelosi last year, told Politico that the results of the Ossoff race further underscore that Pelosi should let someone else take the reins.

"There comes a time when every leader has to say, 'For the good of the order and for the betterment of the party, it's time for me to step aside,'" Rice told Politico. "And I wish that that would happen right now. This is not a personal thing. I want to get back in the majority."

Drew Hammill, Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, told the Times that any Democratic leader would automatically become a target for the right, and dismissed the idea that Pelosi was the reason for Ossoff's loss.

"Republicans blew through millions to keep a ruby red seat and in their desperate rush to stop the hemorrhaging, they've returned to demonizing the party's strongest fund-raiser and consensus builder," he told the newsmaker. "They don't have Clinton or Obama, so this is what they do."

But the Times notes, "in a possible omen, the first Democratic candidate to announce his campaign after the Georgia defeat immediately vowed not to support Ms. Pelosi for leader. Joe Cunningham, a South Carolina lawyer challenging Representative Mark Sanford, said Democrats needed "new leadership now."

And all this was just in the first 24 hours after the Georgia results.

Political disagreement doesn't have to make us enemies: Opinion

"Most importantly, we are forever grateful for the heroism of Special Agents Crystal Griner and David Bailey, who saved the lives of everyone at the baseball field that morning, including Steve's," Jennifer Scalise said.

Republicans shouldn't get too cocky. As Hammill points out, the GOP has won four seats it was expected to win by tighter margins than one would have expected a year ago. And things will be a lot different next year, when they will have to defend seats much less friendly to the GOP.

But for now, it's the Democrats who are in full panic mode.

Republicans control the White House, Senate and Congress and cannot get anything done, because the party is so divided. Now the Democrats are a lost ball in high weeds.... If we ever needed a third party, now is the time.

the violent,

radical leftists who HIJACKED THEIR PARTY.

It happened on your watch, Dems.. so it's UP TO YOU to rid our Republic of their vile vitriol, indoctrination and hate.

Don't even think about leaving them in place as a Party or anything else.  A Free Republic is no place for these enslavers !

Giving up on your party....?       Not worth saving, eh...?       Wow...  Didn't take you for a coward.

Are you afraid of the radical lefties...?

Have they convinced you a safe space is the only place for you...? <_< They've rendered you incapable of personal responsibility...?

BTW  -- There is a 3rd Party --- The TEA PARTY -- comprised of former voters from all parties - Con, Dem, Lib, et al....

Maybe ya'll shouldn't have dissed 'em so much and said such vile things about them when they came on the scene...

They saw what was coming down the pike --- apparently well before you did.

You owe them an apology.

If you still have a Patriotic heart & a will to wrest your Republic from the grasp of those evil leftists,

lets see you stand up,

put on your big boy pants and

take a stand against the evil emanating from the rotting carcass that was your Dem Party.

There is the flaw in your logic.  The Republicans do not control the White House, Trump does and the Republicans (POLYTICKS) hate it, that is why they will sabotage him at every opportunity.  If you could get over your hatred for Trump you might realize that he is the third party you have been calling for.

I think people are beginning to realize that the Polyticks are working against Trump, will do everything they can to destroy him.  Those who stand for American freedoms, liberties and our principles, should never think twice about having the upper hand against those who wish to destroy.  We can not allow the liberals to gain momentum.  Turn the left wing allies against each other.  Have more victories, such as with Georgia.

Our governor here in Texas is putting up a fight against these cowards.  Stand and pray for those who stand for your Constitutional beliefs.

B/A I hear you on that. I also whole heatedly agree with pattyangle's statement above as well. Though Trump is saying that the Dems and the Repubs establishment both have to go. Since it is the Establishment of these parties that have become a drag on the entire USA. As said candidates work to line their pockets with millions as their sphere of influence grows.

As of late the Democratic Election process has returned to a choice of 2 evils at worst.  People in this country really are supporting Democratic policies of the JFK era, altered to apply in the 21st century. They are not supporting he Socialist policies that are coming out of the mouths of democrat party leadership at this time.  These Americans have learned what "obstructionism" in politics is since that is what The Obama Administration called the Republicans for Mr Obama's entire term, as his administration went more and more socialist in its policies, laws, and executive actions. Shoot half of them have recalled that there is/should be a ANNUAL budget process. Making the Dems familiar with terms (obstructionism, budgetary process) and then seeing how their party leadership and elected officials actions also are definable by these very terms they learned to hate over the past 8 years, is bound to dissolution a large portion of their supporters. Then anyone who likes the ability to work in this country as they hold onto the American work ethic, something that crosses party lines, something based on our historic struggle to become a nation, also based on the biblical Christian work ethic.; these folks unapologetically swarm to any candidate that promises policies that will actually get them a job. Allowing them to retain some self dignity.  Democrats use to embrace being an American, taking care of the poor (another biblical principle) while also steering able bodied people to work. There use to be this place called Vocational Schools where the out of work could go to learn a skill. Where does one go to learn how to be a Plumber anymore?  Being a LVN/LPN I do not get paid a lot of money by comparison.  If money were the primary issue I should have become a Plumber once I became disillusioned with the banking industry and after being laid off after 9/11. I prayed and I prayed. So here I am proudly working in a skilled job that is more of a calling, with all the stresses of life saving, rehabilitation, and malpractice insurance. I digress. If the Dems would return to the 21st century version of their JFK roots, and become civil enough to work across the isle once the election is over, for the overall good of the American people who like a good political fight, the Dems may start winning some elections. Though it may fit in with Trumps tagline of "Draining The Swamp" the Dems and the Repubs need to get rid of the old guard of their party and refocus on doing what is good for the America and its citizens. Unapologetically. JMHO.

Bingo.... Great post! Much like the problem with American families, the problem with American politics starts at home... Vote all these criminals out and see what happens. And there in lies the problem. People keep voting for the same people. Pelosi, McConnell, and so on.... The Democrats were on television yesterday saying Pelosi needs to go, and her reply was bring it on... These old *other*uckers need to go home and be good grand-parents.

Unions offer training with pay. You need to do an apprentice program and learn for five years to be a journeyman.

My old company had a program as well.

We still have a fantastic multi-county joint vocational high school in our area.....electronics, mechanics, Ag, horticulture, computers, plumbing, heating, construction, accounting.  And there's an affordable state accredited university right next door to it, for those that wish to continue their education.  And both campuses are surrounded by corn fields for miles in every direction.  It's a thing of beauty.

At every Tea Party Rally we attended, we spoke to Voters who came from every conceivable voting group...

Dems, Repubs, Indys, Conservs, Green, you name it, they'd seen the writing on the wall and decided to take a stand with

like-minded Americans who also had had enough !

And yes, NSTOOLMAN.... most represented themselves as having great Love & respect for our Constitution,

not the bastardization of it by the parties they were fleeing.

They had come together as Americans.:eagle:

We wept.  :eagle:
