President of the Central Bank confirms the development of banking cooperation between Iran and Syria on the basis of the national currency

Tehran / June 11 / IRNA - The head of the Central Bank Waliullah Saif the need to develop banking cooperation between Iran and Syria on the basis of the national currency.

 

During a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Duraid Dergham on Saturday said Saif: I have happened in the past and fortunately fruitful economic cooperation between the two countries , pointing out that by identifying problems and obstacles in this area and seek to solve them will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations and also contributes to the achievement of great achievements. 
He pointed to the investments allocated by Iranian companies in Syria and said Iranian companies and banks have made proposals on cooperation and the provision of financial support for economic projects in Syria , a process which will help to enhance bilateral cooperation. 
For his part , President of the Central Bank of Syria to Duraid Dergham pointed out that the meeting was aimed at developing bilateral cooperation, he said , given the good level of relations between the two countries, it is necessary to develop economic and banking relations more than ever. 
He added: In order to enhance bilateral cooperation, it is important that the two banks in both countries looking common issues and ways to strengthen economic projects. 
Saif pointed to Syrian joint Iranian projects, pointing out that the signing of the agreements and the implementation of joint projects will create ground to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
