It is a little after 8 pm there now so sunlight is likely getting scarce soon and operations are likely winding down for today. There may be other maps that will be posted to show further progress.

I agree, ChuckFinley!

 

I have been curious as to why there were not a substantial amount of night operations conducted. Seems like the Iraqi Forces would have the benefit of advanced night combat equipment - even if it was only used mostly by US personnel to support the Iraqi Forces advancing operations at night. I would think night operations would be a substantial advantage for the Iraqi Forces against ISIS for a variety of different reasons.

 

The truth may come out someday. So, in the mean time.............................

It has been a while but we did a ton of night ops based around our technology.  It may be based on other factors.
